Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
With just a month to go before its premiere, ENA’s highly anticipated romantic comedy My Troublesome Star (formerly My Golden Star) has launched its first teaser, offering a hilarious and heartfelt glimpse into a star’s life turned upside down.
The story opens with top celebrity Im Se-ra (Uhm Jung Hwa), who is riding high on fame and fortune. Every product she endorses sells out instantly, and her title as the “nation’s first love” is unmatched. But one night, she falls asleep dreaming of stardom… and wakes up in the body of someone else.
Now known as Bong Cheong-ja, Se-ra finds herself 25 years older with no memory of the missing decades. Her glamorous looks have vanished—replaced by a frumpy hairstyle, wrinkles, and a stranger in the mirror. Disoriented and desperate, Cheong-ja tries to cling to her past, only to be met with disbelief.
When she encounters traffic cop Dokgo Cheol (Song Seung-heon), she asks hopefully, “You know me, right?” His deadpan reply: “Am I supposed to?”
Convinced she’s the victim of a prank or a scam, Cheong-ja stumbles through her new reality—making a mess in the kitchen, causing scenes in public, and drawing confused stares wherever she goes. But despite the chaos, her outbursts begin to spark Cheol’s curiosity. Could she really be the missing Im Se-ra?
Directed by Choi Young-hoon (One the Woman, Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) and written by Park Ji-ha (Miss Night and Day), My Troublesome Star premieres on August 18 at 10 PM KST on ENA, with episodes available for streaming on Genie TV.
