
Veteran Actor Choi Jung Woo has passed away.
On May 27, Choi Jung Woo's agency announced the sudden passing of the actor. Bless Entertainment revealed that actor Choi Jung Woo passed away this morning. The exact cause of death has not been revealed.
Reports stated that the actor has been struggling with chronic illnesses. Meanwhile, the agency reiterated that the cause of death is still being checked and nothing has been confirmed yet.
The deceased is at the Kimpo Our Hospital mortuary, funeral room 5. The funeral service will be held on the 29th at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Suwon Crematorium.
Choi Jung Woo's last project was the 2025 K-drama Secret Relationships, wherein he made a special cameo appearance in the series. He appeared in the fourth and fifth episodes of the series as Cha Sun Hyung's father.
Last year, Choi Jung Woo was part of the hit K-drama The Tale of Lady Ok, led by Im Ji Yeon, Choo Young Woo, Yeon Woo, Kim Jae Won, Lee Jae Won, and Kim Jae Hwa. He also made a cameo appearance in Who Is She and The Tyrant.
Choi Jung Woo made his acting debut in 1975. He is best known for being part of the works Stealer: The Treasure Keeper, Call It Love, Juvenile Justice, Sisyphus: The Myth, The Legend of the Blue Sea, Five Enough, God's Quiz, Doctor Stranger, The Master's Sun, 49 Days, The Moon, The Childe, The Witch: Part 1.
