'If Wishes Could Kill Season 2': Director Park shares what he wants to explore in new installment
Lee Jung Eun, known for her mother roles in numerous South Korean dramas, opened up about feeling embarrassed by her lack of English skills.
On the July 27 episode of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, Lee Jung Eun appeared on the show for her upcoming K-movie, My Daughter Is a Zombie.
During the casual conversation, she revealed her "daughter lineup" from past projects, mentioning Gong Hyo Jin, Han Ji Min, and Kim Tae Ri. She especially noted that she has worked with Han Ji Min in as many as six productions, sharing, "We're close friends who talk over our hardships and check in on each other's health and parents."
She then shared her experience at an international film festival. "When I first traveled to Canada in 1998, I was embarrassed a lot because I couldn't understand English," adding, "I practiced giving a speech in English when I later attended a film festival alone."
Recalling the moment she met the Hollywood star Brad Pitt, she said, "As a Korean actress, I wanted to greet him confidently, but when I saw Song Kang Ho and director Bong Joon Ho greeting him [humbly], I unconsciously put my hands together and shook his hand politely," adding with a laugh, "Brad Pitt's aura was incredible."
Lee Jung Eun is a renowned actress of the South Korean entertainment industry with over 10 years of experience under her belt, and having starred in numerous hits, including Who Are You: School 2015, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Mr. Sunshine, Law School, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and more. In her upcoming release, My Daughter Is a Zombie, she will be seen as Jo Jung Suk's on-screen mother, Kim Bam Sun, who assists him in protecting his zombie daughter, Lee Su Ah (Choi Yu Ri).
My Daughter is a Zombie is coming July 30.
