ZEROBASEONE's Kim Ji Woong will take on a leading role in the investigation drama Siren (working title).

On September 4, an entertainment industry insider told JTBC Entertainment News, "Kim Ji Woong has been cast in a leading role in Siren (working title) and is preparing to begin filming."

Siren is planned as a multi-format project spanning film, mid-form, and short-form content. It is a story about a third-generation chaebol and police academy student and an ace detective from an ordinary background. In the drama, Kim Ji Woong will play Do Yoon, a third-generation chaebol police academy student.

Kim Ji Woong made his acting debut in 2021 with the web drama The Sweet Blood and also made a special appearance in the JTBC drama Surely Tomorrow.

Siren is a project by Take One Studio, the production company behind works such as Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid. Director Oh Ki Hwan, who directed the ENA drama The Defects, will helm the project. The production is expected to finalize its casting soon and begin filming.
