Choi Hyeon
Fictional Character
Hyeon serves officially as the aide to Grand Prince Yi An and privately as his closest attendant. Abandoned as a newborn in front of the prince’s residence, he grew up without parents, relatives, or even a name. Despite this, Hyun has never resented his past. Instead, he sometimes feels grateful that fate led him to the prince’s household, where his life found purpose.
Inside the palace, Hyeon is impeccably respectful. He speaks with strict formality, avoids meeting the prince’s eyes, and keeps a slight bow, careful not to do anything that might undermine Yi An’s authority. Outside the palace, however, his attitude changes completely. He nags, argues, and speaks bluntly to the prince, expressing a closeness that goes beyond the rigid relationship of lord and subject.
Loyal and sharp-tongued, Hyeon remains steadfastly at the prince’s side. Yet his composure begins to waver when he encounters Hye Jeong, a mysterious woman whose unexpected warmth and insight leave a lasting impression on him.
