Han Yeo Reum’s father. When Yeo Reum and Kang Tae Ha were dating, he often joined them on trips to a fishing spot. As their relationship was coming to an end, he met Tae Ha there and asked him to take good care of Yeo Reum and her mother before disappearing from their lives.

It is later revealed through Yeo Reum’s flashbacks that Jae Sik took his own life. He had fallen in love with another woman, but when Yeo Reum’s mother refused to divorce him, he despaired over his inability to be with the woman he truly loved. His remains were laid to rest beneath a tree as part of a natural burial. Sin Yun Hui visits his memorial tree every month, but Yeo Reum has never been able to visit his grave due to the trauma associated with his death. Instead, she and her mother have concealed the truth from others, including Do Jun Ho and Yun Sol, claiming that Jae Sik died in a traffic accident outside a pharmacy. Tae Ha has since uncovered the truth by investigating the accident records.
