After Episode 6, it's undeniable that all four main actors have delivered phenomenal performances. Their acting skills are top-tier, and the emotional depth they bring to their roles makes the series even more gripping. Cinematography and OST are top notch too.

Each character is complex, with layered emotions, and the actors do a fantastic job of portraying the psychological tension in their relationships. Whether it’s Da On’s internal struggles, Seong Hyeon’s protective nature, Jae Min’s manipulative tendencies, or Su Hyeon’s possessive obsession, every performance feels raw and intense.

Anyways, that's what I think. What do you guys think of main actors/MLs so far? Do you have a favorite performance so far?

Also if they ever do a remake or a retelling of "Boys over Flowers", I think these actors would be a good fit for that kind of story. Don't you agree? Their chemistry is undeniable, and they certainly have the screen presence for it!

I absolutely love Cha Jung Woo's performance as Su Hyeon. Sadly for his character, I think he shines in scenes where he's absolutely losing his mind lol. His entrance to the company was awesome, during the scene where he's raging on the phone about having listened to his mother, I think, by leaving the country and things having turned out not the way he wanted them was intense and believable.

What I would've liked even more was the director allowing Da On's character to keep more of his sunshine-y personality from the manwha in the office, since in the webtoon he chooses to conceal a lot of the shit he's going through by being upbeat and smiley.

Cha Jung Woo is killing it as Su Hyeon, no doubt! He really thrives in those unhinged, emotionally charged scenes. His rage and desperation feel so raw and believable. That phone call scene was chef’s kiss. You could feel his frustration and regret.

And I totally get what you mean about Da On! In the drama, he feels more visibly weighed down, whereas in the manhwa, his whole thing was masking his struggles with a bright personality. It would've been interesting to see that contrast play out more on screen. Imagine the impact of seeing his "sunshine-y" mask crack little by little as things spiral out of control. Still, the drama does a great job of making his pain feel real, even if it’s a bit different from the webtoon.

Do you think Su Hyeon's actor would be even better in a full-on psychological thriller? I feel like he’d own that genre. 😆

The acting in Secret Relationships is honestly next-level. All four leads are bringing their A-game, and it’s making every episode even more intense. The chemistry between them is insane, and you can just feel the tension in every scene.

Cha Jung Woo as Su Hyeon is definitely a standout—dude was born to play an unhinged, obsessive character. The way he balances desperation, possessiveness, and regret is just chef’s kiss. His breakdowns? Chilling. But at the same time, you can’t fully hate him because his pain feels so real.

Kim Ho Young as Jae Min is terrifying in the best way. His manipulations feel way too realistic, and the actor nails that cold, calculating vibe. He’s not just some cartoonish villain—he’s genuinely unsettling because we all know people like him exist.

Seong Hyeon is the calm in the storm, and I love that he isn’t written as just a boring “good guy.” He has depth, and you can see his frustration with Da On, but also how much he truly cares. His actor Cha Sun Hyung as brings such a quiet strength to the role, and it works so well.

And Da On? Poor guy is a mess, but that’s what makes him so compelling. You can feel his internal struggle, his confusion, his fear. Some people say he’s frustrating because he won’t stand up for himself, but honestly? That just makes him feel more real. The actor Kim Jun Seo does an amazing job at showing all that pain, even in the smallest expressions.

After this show, I have to give massive credit to the cast. They absolutely carried this show!

Cha Jung Woo (Su Hyeon) was insane in the best way. His breakdowns, his desperation, the way he made us almost sympathize with him. He owned this role. Kim Ho Young (Jae Min) was equally terrifying. He played that manipulative, cold character so well that I felt uneasy every time he was on screen.

Cha Sun Hyung (Seong Hyeon) was the perfect balance—calm, steady, but still deeply emotional. And Kim Jun Seo (Da On) delivered such a heartbreaking yet satisfying transformation. Watching Da On finally break free felt earned, and that’s all thanks to his performance.

The cast, the cinematography, the OST—everything came together to make this drama unforgettable.

I'll be completely honest, I was ready for tropes but we got raw condensed toxic, each actor brought the web version to life, rare because they're just starting out but my gosh what a show
