As this serie topic is about Euthanasia, Im curious about what everyone think about it, Should it be allowed? For exp for terminally ill people when they give permission or if its a big no.

I don't agree with the practice since it's against nature. And in my religion (Buddhist), any kind of suicide is forbidden. But I kind of understand their choices looking at their agony.

As an agnostic, I believe Euthanasia should be allowed, but only offered to those people experiencing significant pain and suffering caused by a terminal illness.

I'm pro-euthanasia, I always have been

Same.

When you have seen someone you love go through extreme pain where even morphine isn't strong enough and they know they are terminally ill and they plead for their suffering to end but you have no answers you definately would see why euthanasia is is the best choice. I see no problem if it's done by the rules and everything else has failed. In the UK the bill for the Terminal ill (adults) end of life bill to legalise assisted suicide won the vote by 314/291 votes.

Assisted suicide should be a choice, especially for the terminal ill.

Why is it legal and even common to put down animals when they are terminally ill but we question euthanasia when it comes to humans? People deem us being compassionate to end the suffering of our dogs or cats but cruel when we have this option for beings who are able to articulate their desire to end their pain?

My grandmother was a vegetable for five years after a severe fall, couldn't move couldn't talk, and clearly wanted to go. One day during one of those five years, she choked and almost went but the doctors said that they have to revive her no matter what. She survived that but you can see from her eyes that she's been begging to go, it was heartbreaking. We are lucky that we have funds to support her for five years but many do not have this option.

When she died, you could see her smiling that she was finally at peace and so were we. My grandfather was almost in the same situation, towards the end of his life after suffering from progressive cancer, my parents saw how he suffered in pain.

After that ordeal from both my grandparents, my parents signed living wills where they told us that they do not want to be resuscitated.

While these DNR directives are not the same as asking for Euthanasia, I believe that ultimately we have a say in how we live and also on how we die (if that can be controlled).

From the POV of those left behind, I think it's just selfish of us to prolong their painful existence on this earth, just to appease ourselves of more time with our loved ones. From the POV of those who are dying, why would I burden my family with the care of taking care of me when I'm already in a veg state?

Thankfully, I live in a country where both Euthanasia and Medically-assisted dying are Legal. I fully believe in Quality of life over quantity of life and that we should be masters of our own fate.

Sorry for your loss, same here some of my family relatives passed away from cancer and its both sad and scary, my dad is not the same after his brother passed away from it, he was always with him trying to comfort him as much as he can , its sad to see someone you love is begging to die , and when he died he looked relieved too

I feel scared of experiencing something similar, thankfully you guys have it legal there to decide if its too much pain and to go, its illegal in my country
