Why rebirth and time travel cdramas are banned/not produced in China

Blossom isn’t rebirth but body swapping that became permanent, though, a curse that proved lethal, oops, for the one cursing the other/swapping bodies to live as the other.

I talked about Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui "BLOSSOM". 

I am NOT talking about "In Blossom" from Liu Xue Yi and Ju Jing Yi.  Blossom is indeed one of Rebirth dramas. Body swapping is "In Blossom" not "Blossom". Please check the dramas first before commenting any further. You should watch MORE Chinese costume dramas so you will connect with what i am talking about.

As far as I understand, there a different in how the regulators in china view time travel, rebirth and being reborn into another body. The last kind being what is more strictly banned due to the suicide of the individual mentioned in the original post. Anyway blossom, SOKP is more time travel and bring reborn into your own body, thats how I believe it's seen anyway. Especially, leans more toward time travel, which is more allowed. 

I am not confused about body swapping or time travel. It's that user Elbee who misunderstood the BLOSSOM TITLE because she only watched IN BLOSSOM. That's why i said to watch more Chinese dramas so they can connect to what i said. Please READ my previous long comments about Rebirth dramas. It's in page 1. I am talking about your original comment, again all the drama's you mentioned can be considered rebirth into your own body and time travel, a mix of both. They are all being reborn into their own bodies or traveling back in time, where as legend of the female general in the novel she was reborn into a different body, same with coroners diary and the double which had their beginnings changed, The ban is more focused on to being reborn into a different body/transmigration, rather than rebirth into your own body or time travel.

Okay. The Double and Coroner's Diary are indeed similar. They are about take over identity and "starting over". So they removed the Rebirth parts to make things easier for review. But how about The Glory? Zhuang Han Yan was reborn to her own body in the past. It's similar to SOKP, TPR, Blossom, Si Jin, and Lost Track of Time. 

Again, there's a difference between rebirth/time travel, compared to transmigration/being reborn in a different body. The ones that are banned and get changed are when someone is reborn into a different body, the glory like the others you mentioned were simply her being reborn in her own body/time traveling back in time. These are allowed, as long as certain guidelines are met.

I understand completely with what you said. Don't worry. So it's all about production team choice about The Glory? They can include the Rebith elements actually, but they decided to remove it for different scripts. I heard that The Glory was not even close with the original souce. They just borrow the name of characters and some plots.

Maybe they just felt it was easier to pass regulation if they didn't include certain things, who knows. As we all know, the regulation over dramas  is quite strict and can lead to a lot of changes, episode count reductions etc. Maybe they figured they had to change a lot for it to pass regulation with less changes, but honestly just guessing.

Do you know why Dreaming Back to Qing Dynasty can pass censorhip in 2019? It was adapted from Scarlet Heart as well but with mix and match of screenwriter modifications. I don't watch it so idk with the ending. But A Dream within A Dream also implemented the same elements (transmigration into another body of character in the past). They have same face but they belong to different eras (Reincarnation concepts). So i will count it to different identities. 

Ikr ADWAD is script world. Like The Romance of Tiger and Rose. So i understand why they can allow modern people transmigrated to the ancient era. They are totally different with Rebirth dramas like SOKP, TPR, Blossom, Sijin, and etc. Plus all leads in Rebirth dramas are belong to ancient eras from beginning. They went back to the past for fixing their lives and prevent future tragedies to happen.

it's different. Minidramas are based on minor less known dynasties or novels, they are allowed even about the episode limit. They set up the revision because of some complaints but they are still cared, only with a bit less limit. About BL, the problem is about the promotion and not the filming, because in China no one cares about private matters

True, people don’t care about private matters, unfortunately the government does.  

Marriage and birth rates plummet in China.  The CCP prefers to promote traditional family values in stead of re inventing the role of young women in society. 

 BL/danmei is seen as a factor in making women less willing to have children.  This fear is so huge, they even arrest the writers.
