Nice to Not Meet You Characters/Relationships
Note: the following info is from public sources - tvN web site/character chart, Namu Wiki, and some spoilers from the ongoing episodes (thru Ep. 7 as of 11/24/25).
Lim [Im] Hyun-joon (and family/close associates):
- Lim Hyun-joon is a once-forgotten actor who returns to fame as a righteous detective star. But now he is typecast and desperately wishes to transform his image, dreaming of being cast in a romantic comedy or melodrama. Age: 40s.
- Lim Sun-woo: Hyun-joon’s younger half brother who got into med school but secretly pursues acting instead. Age: 20s
- Song Ae-sook: Hyun-joon’s mother. A former erotic actress in the 70s. She became pregnant with Hyun-joon, gave birth without getting married, and retired. She is busy spending the money her son has earned. Age: 60
- Hwang Ji-sun: Hyun-joon's former manager, CEO of King's Back Entertainment.
- Lee Gil-so: Hyun-joon’s current manager.

Wi Jeong-sin (and family)
- Wi Jeong-sin is an award winning justice-driven reporter demoted from politics to entertainment while covering a corruption case. Orphaned while in highschool. Age: 30s
- Wi Hong-shin: Jeong-sin's younger brother who befriends Sun-woo at acting school
Lee Jae-hyung (and family)
- Lee Jae-hyung is the CEO of Sports Eun-sung. A third-generation corporate tycoon chose the path of a baseball player and became a sports star loved by the whole nation. He fell in love with Yoon Hwa-young,[and they were engaged??] but suffered a mysterious car accident which shattered his leg. [Note: a MYSTERIOUS car accident, lol] His sports career ended. Hwa-young disappeared with a breakup notice. Seven years passed. Age: 40s
- Lee Dae-ho: Jae-hyung’s older half-brother and corrupt chairman of Eunsung Group. As the chairman of Eunsung Group, he has maintained a relationship with actress Kwon Se-na.
- Oh Mi-ran: Jae-hyung’s mother. Dae-ho’s adoptive mother. When she first debuted on the screen, she played the role of a maid who serves the main character, “Ah” (actress Song Ae-sook). Her life turned around when she became a chaebol’s second wife. She continued her career as an actress and expanded her position with the halo of a real chaebol wife.

Yoon Hwa-young (and associates)
- Yoon Hwa-young is an entertainment editor at Sports Eunsung. Engaged (?) at one time to Lee Jae-hyung, but after his mysterious accident, she left. Soon after, rumors abounded that she had married another man. She is the mother of a young son but noone knows who the father is. Age: 40s
- Hong Guk-kang: The cowardly editor-in-chief at Sports Eunsung. He openly hates Hwa-young, who is doing well.
Others
- Kwon Se-na: Hyun-joon's ex-girlfriend and a global superstar. She has an unspecified (as of Ep. 7) connection with Lee Dae-ho. She claims that she wishes to re-establish her relationship with Hyun-joon and is determined to star in whatever drama or film that he appears in.
- Park Byung-gi: An indie film prodigy turned hit drama writer-director.
- CEO Son: CEO of one of the five largest production companies in Korea and producer of the Kang Pil-gu series. A money-driven producer.
