YT ads may annoy you, yes, but actually letting ads roll also incentivizes networks to actually make things available for free to us—they can tell how many ads load&play and how many paid subscribers’ money applies, too, then compare thead+paid subber count/revenue to total views and get an idea of whether they should charge or if it’s worth making available with only ads.
