The Prosecutor's Proposal
it's been such a long time since i've actually read a very well written bl novel (those thai ones are not it lol). the way both ju taeseon and lee chaeha are written, ugh they're both just so tormented and broken, but the way they both healed each other. this novel is literally a must read because this drama is NOT doing justice to it. having 25 minute episodes for a 1k+ page book is way too little. I mean, they're doing great, but the way this novel captured all those emotions, the angst.
first of all, there was NO SA or rape or any type of force, everything was consensual, so the kiss in the drama was unnecessary, and also that stabbing scene too (but i liked that lol). so, i hope this clears up what some people were arguing about, "that's sexual abuse." well, ask the directors. nvm. and the whole revelation of ju taeseon being the actual son of Kang Wooseong, the whole scene was handled so well and IT WAS SOOO ANGSTYYY. I swear ju taeseon went through such incredible development. he's a perfectly written complex character and i'm just glad that he was never unjustly cruel or did anything to harm chaeha just because of his father. and even then, even when there was a chance that his father was guilty, he was willing to reconsider their relationship. and ugh i cried. like fine, he was wrong for not telling chaeha about all that at first, but he didn't want him to feel uncomfortable around him because of the truth. he would've never told him about being the son of Kang Wooseong if chaeha's father had been guilty and they would've lived together anyways. like idk man, he was so caring and i just loved him sm. and chaeha is literally NOT a doormat. idk, i thought that at first, but man 😭 his resistance, endurance, and the way he handled everything, MAD RESPECT.
overall, this novel was reallllly good. just wished the cases and the overall plot weren't so long, like 1k pages is hehe not fine 😭 but they gave so many insights, and if someone is very much interested in investigations, murders, and all that, this is really good in that way as well.
I AM CRYINGGGGG!!! if only you guys had read the whole epilogue of the novel, it was THE BEST ONE I'VE EVER READ. It was so cuteeeee and detailed omg. It was just filled with taeseon being THE BEST HUSBAND OUT THERE. Like, he was so considerate and caring omg. It was so overwhelming wjshqhq reading it. Like, he was just SO THOUGHTFUL???? AND CHAEHA was over the moon. Everything was prepared for chaeha in advance, and he was cared for so perfectly that even he was confused most of the time. Also, his whole monologue about how caring, thoughtful, warm, and affectionate taeseon actually is. Their whole trip was so wholesome and perfect. I loved all the domestic and cute moments. Again, i'm just so happy rn to read that.

when did taeseon fell in love with chae??
Taeseon has been keeping tabs on Chaeha ever since Prosecutor Yoon asked him to help her with the Ohsong Casino and Kang Wooseong muder case.
The 'exact' moment he fell in love may be vauge, but there is a moment in the story that does indicate a plausible moment in time he began his desire for Chaeha on a level beyond "keeping tabs on a murderer's son". In chapter 53, which was in Taeseon's POV, when Chaeha first came to work at the Prosecutor's office as a fine officer, these were Taeseon's exact words "...the moment I saw his unexpected face appearing with an expression distinctly different from two years ago, a hot emotion flooded my surprised heart." Then over the course of working with Chaeha, Taeseon's emotions slowly solidified, growing from simple attraction to wanting Chaeha to also feel the same as he does.
Here's a timeline of how I think it went.
-Chaeha gets hired at the Danhyeon branch as fine officer. This is when he first met Taeseon again, this is when Taeseon felt a hot emotion in his heart.
-Chaeha works there for 2 months doing fines, before he got the chance to work with Taeseon on the Russian case. With the Russion case, he was pulled in to work with Taeseon officially as an investigator a couple weeks later.
-The Russion case was then put on pause (not closed) for 2 months, until the Old grandpa made a false confession to abandoning the Russian in attempt to force them to close the case. At which point, this is when we get the Taeseon POV revealing his thoughts on Chaeha.
So based on all this, from the moment Chaeha came to work at the Danhyeon Branch to the moment Taeseon reveals his feelings, it would be about 4-5 months into their work relationship. But even then, he will go on to deny his feelings for Chaeha a while longer after this.
TLDR; Taeseon internally admits his feelings for Chaeha approximately 4-5 months after Chaeha began working at the Danhyeon Branch. He doesn't verbally admit feelings until later.

Anyone willing to comment on MR Song? Is he the or a bad guy or does he genuinely want to know and date Lee? Thank you!
He's not interested in Chaeha romantically, he's just socializing to gain information on the Oh Jahyeon case. He's not the 'bad guy' in the sense he killed anyone, but he's an accessory to the crimes, helping clean up and providing information to the killers.

when did taeseon fell in love with chae??
i can't exactly say WHEN but since the start he was interested in him. at first he kept tabs on him, then slowly became attracted and then the whole stuff. i think the person above explained it well!!
you can just see while reading that he def cares a lot. the tomance is very well developed and not rushed at all. not BOOM now he's in love type.
Having read a quarter of the web novel, the intricacy of the cases crafted by Bok He is captivating. The detailed knowledge of police and prosecutorial procedures suggests the author has a background in the legal industry. Notably, the novel contains no explicit sexual content thus far. In contrast, the condensed 200-minute series introduces unnecessary sexual scenes that detract from the core narrative of the cases. The adaptation also compresses and alters the cases to such an extent that the character Lee Chaeha appears inept. In the novel, however, he is portrayed as a dedicated investigator who diligently learns from the prosecutor he serves, demonstrating competence and commitment to his role. If the director wants to deploy graphic sex simulation to attract BL fans, she could have used a custom-made storyline instead of adapting it from a complicated legal procedural novel like this of Bok He.
