I'm a cisgender gay man with a bachelor's and master's degree from a state university in the USA. My primary interest lies in series and movies that are socioculturally and philosophically rooted in Chinese culture. However, I also appreciate works from other East Asian cultures that reflect Confucian values.

I wish MDL would require members to identify their gender, educational attainment, and sexual orientation, and make this information available on their public profiles. This would help us decide whom we want to interact with. For example, a teenage girl in the eighth grade and an undergraduate female senior will not have the same criteria for choosing a series or movie.  Any university-educated cisgender men are welcome to connect with me to discuss drama series or films that we have watched through our cisgender male lens.
