Hi There,

I was completely on the same page as you a few years back. I started off by watching  Noragami in 2015 and by that time Season 1 was already released and the second season was in the middle, But I liked the anime so much that I literally binge watch it throughout the week and I was done with both the seasons in a week! Don't blame me until you watch it yourself :D . I just wish that Season 3 will come soon coz it's been almost 4 years and I can't wait no more.

Apart from this another must watch is Re Zero, the first episode was aired in 2016 and it made a big hit back in the year. Also, Kill La Kill is an anime which has its own unique breed and I recommend this especially for newbies.

It depends on what kind of movies, books the person is interested in. If they are into fantasy, but hate horror, I won't recommand for example Another.
