glad I'm not alone

While I’m waiting for last episode, I want to say this one is so emotional. I was rooting badly for the last morula. I wanted them to throw caution to the wind and defy ethics. Sadly, it was not to be. Since it’s fiction I wanted badly to see what could have. Well, the make up is pretty good so this last episode will be very tense and heart beating? So enjoyable.

Isn’t it? I could not believe the horrendous negativity. I feel so bad for the cast if anyone ever scrolls through.  I’ve done what you’ve asked for the ones I’ve managed to get through. Also, if you go the episode guides, (if you have time and patience ) you can rate each episode and it helps ratings.

I totally agree with you. I checked all the good reviews.  I'll never understand why haters are able to watch entirely a drama and rate it with a 1 : they really like to waste their time. Much more, how is it possible to rate as low as a one a drama, neglecting the job of actors, producers and musicians. Could they be able to rate with a 1 a Picasso painting because they prefer Rembrandt ?

Thank you, I did as you suggested about rating each episode.

Exactly! I can't understand a rating of 1 for this. The cgi/special effects in the space station alone are worth at least 5!

Im still trying to grapple with the ending(s). What's your reaction? I'm still trying to recover. WTF was said many times.

For me, the first ending was a dream, but in reality Eve did not survive the fracture of her pelvis and Ryong was left alone to raise his daughter. And at the end, we see Ryong from behind in a wheelchair, victim of the consequences of his stays in space, and his daughter who comes to put her hand on his arm. For me, despite everything, it is a sad ending that calls for a lot of tears, because above all she did not want to abandon her baby, as she had been, but that is what she ends up doing.

Please bear with me for my afterthoughts. I made the mistake of going to comments and read the continuous bashing. Can’t understand why people stuck with it if from first episode they hated so should have moved on to favored dramas. I’m totally convinced now of the toxicity of people who sees beyond any kind of reason but their own so called expertise. Ha. At least in this created space we can converse with open mind.

Let me say this definitely had flaws. My biggest issue is with the editing and flow. The connection of the lottery part and biological mom was messy. The latter could have been really powerful in the ending part of eves decision but somehow it disconnected. Lottery? Pointless except to say it helped to fund the space fertility program. Yeah, head scratching.

I was drawn first because of the cast. Love them and previous works…leads and all others I was familiar with. Then the premise of romance in space? Check. It peaked my interest. Then I saw the central theme of fertility and it became even more interesting. Yes it was bold and probably defies all science intellect (I don’t know all facts and it didn’t matter) that the so called experts are whining about. Sticking solely to the fact that this is work of fiction, I found it really fascinating and thoughtful thinking. I mean wow, totally new for me. The possibility is really thought provoking, especially for women who can’t conceive. It definitely made for interesting material, adding romance, humor, camaraderie of staff, personal conflicts (Go Eun’s relationship with Kang never cleared yet he was bold to claim they’re a couple, thought they were cute regardless), etc.

For ending, I would have rather they made it one (preferably the first) instead of options. I feel they didn’t need to. Was it to appease to audience. Personally, I was totally okay if it was her dying while she held his hand looking at Byeol. The message of her belief in science and its risks,  fertility efforts in space, not giving up on her baby, and then she was able to make amends with her love all wrapped up to her satisfaction, even though cost to her life.

So much overthinking you’d think this was real in the loaded bashing. I totally enjoyed this for its presentation, flaws and all. It’s courageous work, and very creative thinking science fiction and more. Thanks again for this space.

For my comments I didn’t add spoilers as I thought it’s a space for open discussion. I apologize.

I’m late watching the last two episodes and I’m sorry to say I hated the ending! Even though there were no surprises for me, I will keep watching to support my favorite actors.

The ending is to your discretion. It was fine to me. Whatever you feel will be okay too. As long as you enjoyed it, or not, you gave it a shot.

I absolutely loved this drama.

I guess happy endings are my thing. Unfortunately, for both Gong and Eve they couldn’t seem to get a break… starting at birth!
