Recent Xianxia or Wuxia film recommendations

I am doing some research about masculinity in Chinese films and can't find any good wuxia or xianxia films to study, with a male main character and released in the last 10 years as well. Maybe something that's popular in China?

Can someone please help me find something?

Hello, I don't watch a lot of movies. But I can share what I liked, maybe it will help you somehow. My favorite movie is armor of god with jackie chan in the title role. I watched it on 123movies. I liked the storyline and the music at the end of the movie. By the way, if I am not mistaken, Jackie Chan sings there himself. All in all it is an interesting and exciting movie and I liked it.

C-ent pretty much female oriented.  I followed it a little bit and Chinese celebs pretty much pretty girls and pretty boys with huge female demographic. 

 

The result Xianxia and Wuxia have a gender shift. Right now Xianxia is female oriented with romance as focus. Wuxia have massive gender shift as well. Drama like Long Ballad or Who Rules The World have strong female heroin and romance storyline. Ten Miles of Peach Blossom was the most popular drama in China in last 10 years and yes it is romance drama with female demographic.

There are Wuxia for male demographic but usually less popular those day.  Some exceptional one are Side Story of Fox Volant , Sword Snow Stride or Nirvana in Fire.  Even that, they tweak some stuff to more appealing for female.
