Song from the Bureau comes up with the way to reconnect his soul with his body again.

In the novel, its explained that his earthly soul is sort of lingering around the place he died. After the arrangement are made on the side on the body(at the bureau), they have to summon that soul back.

This way he will a normal mortal, no more power(of a martial artist) but he will live.

In the novel, I believe he died in the real world. But due to reincarnation theme restrictions in China, they cannot do that

reincarnation isn't banned from what I know. Only time travel is banned and that too only applies when they are going back to real history not a made up world like dafeng.

how Emperor died in the novel? By ML I guess but what events lead to it? He is still the ruler of the country, so was there some plot against him?

the real emperor was already dead, and the one who was acting as the emperor was the father of the real emperor(grandfather of Linan and Huaqing)the old emperor kind of split his body into three parts one as the fake emperor and one as the prince Zhen Bei (was the name I think?) in the end I think he was killed by xu qian

Thanks, that was for sure unexpected twist! Why he split himself? Did he murder his son in process? Does Lord Wei or Supervisor know about it? So the one who took Empress hostege against Lord Wei was real Emperor or his father?

he killed the duke a long time ago but didn't kill the emperor but after some years I think the emperor got jealous of lord wei and his empress around that time his body got taken over completely

so his version of immortality was kind of migration into next generation and taking over their bodies. Interesting. Thank you for those explanations.

kind of as the emperor and the duke acted normally and the real body cultivated Tao he also used the human souls from human trafficking from pinguan and the people killed by Duke of Zhen Bei.
