Ah I mean ML proposed to marry SFL and the proposal being rejected because SFL wanted freedom. Should still be counted right? Because the other answers seems to centered around ML and FL, not SFL.

It's not stated that it has to be the female lead („a woman“). Also, this seems to be more about this:  “Contrary to the stereotype that the woman wants a family and the man wants freedom”. So I would say it counts.
