8. My School President

2 days, so new topic

10 titles in which the two love each other but can't  be together for some reasons. Still they eventually end up together and/or get married but not for love reasons

The couple may be lead or supportI

t's more like a deal, or they are forced, or they just get additional motivation besides love

For example, they love each other but family is against their marriage. One of them learns their families were enemies and gets married for revenge

1. Bloody Heart - FL and ML loved each other but couldn't get married, she pretended to be a commoner and he hid that he was a king. She entered the palace later as a niece of the minister after making a deal with him, she wanted to get revenge.

2. Mother of Mine - FL and ML met as a head of department and a newbie and wanted to get married, but it turned out that ML was a heir of the company working incognito and that FL's mother who abandoned her in the childhood was a step-aunt of ML. FL rejected ML multiple times after learning about his origin, it was dangerous to enter his family. But after ML's stepmother returns to Korea and she and her brother try to conquer the company, FL decides to be with ML to support and protect him.

3. My Sunshine (2015)

So in the past FL thought ML breaking up with her before she was sent abroad, but actually ML just getting angry after finding out that FL's father indirectly caused ML's father died. Then after meeting again, ML forced FL to marry him to compensate his emotional damage. Both still love each other but FL thought ML never love her since the beginning, while ML thought FL stop loving him.

More than 24 hrs and I think I find a good theme:

Name a drama where they talk about a film, a play, a book, a manhwa, a sculpture, a painting, a toy, a game or a place you also like.

1. High School King of Savvy - They mention the film Serendipity!!!!

2. Take My Brother Away

I think Miao Miao Miao said Wan Xing looks like Conan (Edogawa Conan a.k.a Kudo Shinichi from Aoyama Gosho's Case Closed) so he definitely can solve female student broken door case and drone case.

3. My School President

They reference Doraemon lol, Gun calls Tin Nobitin because he looks like Nobita with his glasses

4. Hospital Playlist - Harry Potter discussion. One of the leads never read the Harry Potter series not watched films, so his friends messed with him and made some false reference like music band Malfoy lol

It made it even funnier that Hospital Playlist and Harry Potter had same abbreviation - HP

Bonus, as it's not a play, book, place, etc.

Love Next Door - they were talking about Russian doll Matryoshka

6. She Was Pretty- Auguste Renoir- Dance in the Country painting

7. My Lovely Sam Soon

FL Sam Soon reads aloud from the children's book Momo, by Michael Ende. Momo is a wonderful, magical book that is one of my favorites. (Michael Ende also wrote The Neverending Story (1984), which was made into a film shot in Munich and Canada, and is a U.S.-Germany coproduction.)

Here's a link to Momo in the Internet Archive:   https://archive.org/details/momo0000ende_n3n9/mode/2up

8. Secret Love Affair

The leads play Schubert's Fantasie in F Minor.

Link to a good YouTube performance:   https://youtu.be/UyjzqPPXDcw?si=FsnNK4Uji02rN4r0

9. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love

There's a trip to an "island" that is actually shot in France, including Annecy. Weirdly, I have reread several times a classic (sooo outdated, now) romance novel from the 50's where a character goes to Annecy, and I had a flashback to it when I saw Annecy on a sign in the drama.

9. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love

There's a trip to an "island" that is actually shot in Switzerland -- Lake Geneva and the surrounding area. Weirdly, I have reread several times a classic (sooo outdated, now) romance novel from the 50's where the characters go to Lake Geneva and Annecy, and I had a flashback to it when I saw Annecy on a sign in the drama.

What is the name of the romance novel? Even outdated could be a masterpiece.
Annecy is one of my preferred sites in the world. It is magical!!!

10. My roommate is a Gumiho - A citation of Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez.

Next poster should propose a theme.

AlfatogodeQFBere:

I'll message you. It's an obscure novel, but really offensive in its constant othering (the times, they were politically incorrect), and I don't want to promote it or be associated with it, even as an anonymous profile. The author had some success, and several of her novels are even more offensive.
