As foolish as a fool with a pen.

Hi there and welcome to my profile.

Well, Parasite (2019) started this crazy way of life. It is true that up to then I had been in love for more than 10 years with a previous Korean film, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring (2003) but the Cannes and the Academy Awards made me think something I learned in my Literary Creation courses: "no masterpiece appears out of nothing". Borges is explained after Macedonio Fernandez, no Macedonio, no Borges. So, I wrote in my diary: "review the Korean media that produced such a chef d'oeuvre, Parasite". And when I had the opportunity I just discovered at the very same time the Korean drama, the  Kpop and after that, all Korea, its history and traditions, its particular idea of a very Korean country. Not bad.
Then and so, I've started watching Korean dramas in the middle of the Covid season, February 2021. My very first Korean drama ever was Black (2017). I have mainly watched only Korean dramas, I have seen 7 Japanese dramas (mainly because of Sasaki Nozomi) and 1 Taiwanese, this one is really a chef d'oeuvre (very wisely recommended by A, an Argentinian friend here): Someday or One Day (2019) . Ah, and 20 minutes of the Chinese drama Ultimate Note (2020) that looked really good but finding Hanikezi was too much light for me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cYBVPtFu9c), I stopped the Cdrama and started learning about her, she is an angel and I will not see the drama because I could become blind. I haven't dropped it; rather, I'll watch it once I complete my 'To Be Watched' Korean Dramas list, which now includes over 1000 titles.
Addenda on July 12, 2025: I was searching for a drama and I just stumbled upon Beethoven Virus (2008) which was actuallly my 20th watched Kdrama. I watched the section between minutes 43 and 50 in Chapter 3 again today, and it reminded me why I only watch Korean dramas. I think it is the best section ever filmed in any drama at any time.  It is fabulous!!! It has so much in such a little time!!!
And why do I watch so many Kdramas?
Because there I find all the love I do not have in real life and more importantly, if anytime Bere comes back to my life, I will be able to proudly tell her, this is what I have been doing while waiting you!!!

Thanks to Jenna from Finland by the idea and drama advancement previous format.

As per every series has its own length, I decided to recalculate these 600 series as if they were made like standard Korean series with 16 chapters of 60 minutes each. With this recalculation I would have watched up to now 660 series with another 4 chapters. And, I do not count any second or third or nth season as a new watched series. So, they are really 600 different names in my series list (https://kisskh.at/discussions/korean-dramas-movies-variety-shows/109751-the-kdoramas-i-have-watched-in-2023?pid=3328472&page=1#p3328472).

My most loved series: Six flying dragons (2015) and Memories of the Alhambra (2018) with My mister (2018) very close and Kim Sa Rang in Tokyo shower (2008). It is not the preferred one but the only series I wanted to watch again as soon as I finished it it was Twinkling Watermelon (2023).

My two worst series: Extraordinary you (2019) (I took more than two weeks to finish it and it is the only one I have really thought about abandoning it) and Cinderella Man (2009) (I watched it only because Im Yoon Ah).

I plan to go to Korea one whole year among the five next years and visit all the nice places I have seen in the dramas, from East to West and from valid North to Jeju. After being studying Korean by myself for two years, I want to feel the truth of the language and get lost trying to use what I have learned.
