24h new topic...

10 drama/movie with a narrator consistently giving narrations on either each episode (be it in the beginning, at the end, or throughout) or throughout the movie (it can be unreliable narration from one of the mcs or just a typical omniscient voice)

1. When Life Gives You Tangerines

2. Nami Uraraka ni Meoto Biyori/A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You

3. Fish Upon the Sky

5. Tell Me That You Love Me

6. If Cats Disappeared from the World

(I'm not sure if this counts, but I would also recommend One for the Road.  The voice of MC's dad is heard throughout the movie via some old cassettes he recorded for his radio show. What he says is always sort of related to the situation of the characters in that moment.)

10 titles in which leads reincarnate and meet again in their new life and you liked their past lifetime better. And why?

May be parallel timelines or flashbacks to the past

1. Chicago Typewriter - I liked both their personalities and chemistry better, also the story itself had more depth and was meaningful. Moder story is more lighthearted but kinda superficial

Lol, I feel like it's usually the other way around for me because we tend to see more of the present timeline! This is a very interesting prompt!

For me too! But sometimes I think that I'd rather watch the full historical drama than a modern drama with glimpses of more intriguing parts from the past. I think, the understatement of the past is what makes it more appealing in dramas like, since they don't have to develop the proper story and hints are enough :)

2. Goblin (it’s just one lead but I hope it counts. I really wanted to see more of the past, I actually wished they would film a prequel or something like that..)

3. Khemjira In the past life, they're about to have a child before SML said to Khem that ML died (but he actually survived) which caused Khem to die from heart attack, then in recent life Khem became a man, healthy, but getting haunted by ghosts and about to die from curse. While ML became a shaman. Happy peaceful life is better imo (although there's war). And ghosts are scary.

Agree on Goblin. Btw, for me it fits the topic because I prefer Sunny and Grim Reaper's previous life couple better than their reincarnation. Like, my favorite couple in the show is the king and the queen haha

That being said, I actually found one!

4. Love Destiny - they actually showed more of their past life in this, rather than the present and while I would have loved to see an actual love story between Rit and Kadesurang (I still really do), Date and Karakade are literally one of my favourite couples.

Also with the way the Krissanakalee and their reincarnation works, it would've been almost impossible for Rit and Kadesurang to actually have their happy ending, which really sucks, so it was really nice to see them have a good relationship in the past

In a way, Extraordinary You counts as a reincarnation drama. And I so wanted to see more of their relationship during the Goryeo period.

It's been a few days - new topic?
