Quantcast

I'm thinking seriously about RADWIMPS' Kanata Haluka but still can't remember which titles has corpse being floated on the sea (without the fire that's on the MV). Maybe it's a western title. I asked google for exact same funeral tradition, it told me it was similar Viking funeral/Norse funeral. And suggesting Wallace Chung's General and I, but the fire is being shot using an arrow. It's not that one for sure... My memory... Feeling like singing Ryu's song.

6. The 8-Years Engagement and Practice

Both about the devotion of a man towards a sick lover (fiancee | wife), but unlike in the MV, there's a breakup in the movie when FL forgetting ML.

7. You are the Apple of My Eyes and Why Did I Fall in Love with You?

Both about unrequited love that's actually reciprocated but the woman ends up marrying other man because the man never confess. But unlike in the movie, in the MV there's no fight before separation. But the ending where ML in the MV whispering "Omedetou" while showering the groom and bride with flowers reminds me of ML in Twenty Five-Twenty One congratulating FL for her marriage iirc in the television while interviewing FL in different place and both FLs' (drama and MV) eyes is glistening with tears that cannot flow (but maybe it's just my imagination).

8. Weak Hero Class 1/2 and Save Me Kill Me by CIX - honestly, they're just so similar and I love them both

9. Midnight Runners and Growl by EXO - this is purely vibes lol

10. Moving and Chk Chk Boom by SKZ - both are superhero related and the cinematography is quite similar

10 songs you think will make excellent OSTs for a series (the song can already be an OST, but you think it will be perfect for another series). The focus is more on the lyrics or the music itself for this prompt

1. Asa no Jikan (song) and Then You Try Making It! (drama)

It's about living positively, actually it's even more suitable for Perfect Days (movie). The old man in Perfect Days will be the final product of living positively like what Meguro Ren want in his song. While Then You Try Making It! is like the progressing state.

2. Dao Xiang (song) and Sleepeeer Hit! (drama)

It's about doing your best everyday. Like, you shouldn't complain too much, everyone is doing their best for living even in the TV, you should do it like them too. Best applied to ML before he changes. For a song like that, I think When I'm Gone (western song) telling the same message, but with harsher tone like underlining time wait for no one.

3. Dang Ni Lao Le (song) and When Life Gives You Tangerines (drama)

It's about the true love that will accompany you when you're old. I'm trying to search video with translation but for Karen Mok's version there's no eng sub. Instead, you can see the lyrics in the description and google translate it.

4. still with you- jung kook. idk which series it would be good but it would actually be good for a melo-romance drama.

5. so life goes on- heo hyo kyun. for my liberation notes

6. run away with me- mingginyu. for 2521

Since it's almost my bedtime and also almost 24 hours, adding some more:

7. Recall (song) and Eternal Yesterday (drama)

It's about losing someone close to you, but that person already know and give some comforting words to the main character to be prepared for the eternal farewell. Eternal Yesterday has that message imo, even though he's a living dead.

8. Evening Primrose (song) and Reply 1988 (drama)

Can become SML's theme song, as it's about pretending to be fine after a heartbreak, I just can't be sure whether it's after dating or only being friends. I assume it's one-sided love so it's a match.

Let me close out the topic

9. Turns Out It's You (Sea Keen) and Boyfriend (Yeonjun) for Bad Buddy -

Turns Out It's You is a very enemies to lovers coded song, being the OST for Head 2 Head, and it fits perfectly with the story of Bad Buddy. Boyfriend's beat and lyrics are very secret crush coded, and they are a more upbeat version of the yearning we can see in Bad Buddy.

10. Truth In The Eyes (Pond Phuwin) for Century of Love

The beat and melancholic vibes of the song just scream Century of Love to me, since I heard it the first time, I couldn't help but think it would be a perfect OST

The next person can choose the topic

10 interesting but cozy dramas (not movies. preferably not medical.) that are good for a chill watching without any tragic events~

Forgot to post, but for the previous topic, Going Crazy by Song Ji Eun for To My Shore.

can you further specify what you mean by interesting but cozy?

 Journalist:

can you further specify what you mean by interesting but cozy?

there're a lot of cozy dramas whit a nice plot that have lots of unnecessary scenes and boring parts that are dragging and reduce from the 'interest' as a watchers (long pauses, unnecessary miscommunication, etc.) I'm looking for cozy dramas that are not dragged or using many clichés as a main plot points.

but overall anything you watched and found interesting and also cozy and comforting and not sad or very angsty (of course they don't have to be just happy happy all throughout but like happy ending and nothing too heart breaking in between.)

e.g: because this is my first life (idk just cozy I guess 🫠)

I think short dramas are the best for your topic

1. Soundtrack #1. Feels like a cup of hot chocolate in the winter evening, there's no fillers as it's just 3 hours in total. No any tragedy or serial killers lol

After thinking for a while, I feel like these two dramas may fit the bill as well

2. The Tale of Nine Tailed 1938 - if you did not watch S1, it's okay, there's a short review, so you'll learn the main point of the main story. It's moving drama, a lot of action and adventure, some drama, some love story. As someone who like folklore, I loved this one. S1 wasn't as good and I did drop it lol, S2 (1938) I've binged in 3 days

3. Love Scout - there's some trauma as the backstory but nothing too angsty and it has the happy ending for most of the characters. Cute and sweet, has some tropes and cliches but they are not the main plot

That was a difficult question. Cozy and comforting don't work for me, it's either something exciting or something funny that works. My best bet is:

4. Hold My Hand at Twilight

There's three angsty moments, but not that angsty:

Betrayed by fiancee and had to lie to the village people including her family, in particular her grandma, spoiler: separated from idol ML who's starting to get popular and moving out from the rental house, ending spoiler: having slump at work so she went back to her village but it can be assumed to have a happy open ending as ML looking for FL and met her, sitting and talking with romantic vibes.

5.Our Dining Table- The epitome of a wholesome bubble and finding your tribe type of watch. Just like a warm hug

6.Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?- This is a warm, easy and relaxing watch.Really like drinking a cup of coffee in drama form.
