i don't know whether these are overbearing enough for the OP...

I think NoirRoseHeart has the gist from what I read of the topic. NICE but overbearing for me means they mean well but just are a bit blind to their kid's needs/wants... I think that means avoid manipulative, snarky, nasty ones.

That said, this topic seems like it would be filled with cdramas, oh my single at 33 child, you need to get married, you need to get this kind of job, we like this boy/girl for you...
