4. Birth of a Beauty - FL's past/real self is a fat woman. (If this counts.)

** Does it have to be based on external appearance only? or behaviour includes as well... behaviour as in like .... an elderly leading a drama .. usually we don't see that ... if it is for main character they would make over young actors to look old.

3.) Thailand Only (Features James Rusameekae as a main)

I think the topic poster was specifically looking for skin tone only, but I could be wrong.

For now just looks, though I don't mean to be shallow. Just finished watching TharnType for the Xth time and Type's character was meant to be of a darker skin tone but the actor playing him isn't. So, sorry, no, this one doesn't count. There is already quite a few about behaviour (especially size).

The dramas/movies don't have to be a commentary on anything. Just a normal, regular drama that simply has a darker skinned person as a lead, exactly like Monkey Twins.

There are actually quite a few dramas with older actors playing main leads. This topic has been covered a few times in this game and might even have a separate discussion set up in MDL. Eg, Navillera, Dear My Friends and so on.

No ... you're right ..... they wrote "White asian .. eg" ... so I took "eg' for granted.. 😀. I thought other external appearance counts too.

It's okay .. you're the boss here. xD

Monkey Twins.

This show in itself is really good ... ignored some typical troupes and I liked it.

Edited my first response accordingly. Although, again, the character is meant to be darker-skinned because of the region he comes from (much like Type was supposed to be casted as - which, yes, bothered me too), so it's not colorblind. He's not dark dark, but he's not the standard 'white' either.

4.So Not Worth it- Has two main characters of African descent  (One African American and the other Nigerian Korean).

5.Check Out-Not a very good show but one of the  MLs has a darker tone than the BL norm. Usually characters with darker tones are the villains and not the love interests

(Bonus supporting characters- Gaus Electronics & Triage)

6. Dark Blue Kiss - tay tawan is know for being very tan amongst his costars, especially when compared to the other lead newwie

if that works, basically any tay tawan drama?

7. Brothers in Heaven - Sung Hoon has a slightly bronze-ish skin tone

8. Missing : The Other Side 1 and 2 (Go Soo - he is really good looking  and his skin tone is natural)

9. May I help You (Lee Hye Ri , beautiful and has tan skin tone)

Agree with previous comment, two more works by Go Soo:

9. Love 911 (2012) - he had bronze tone of skin, plus he played rescuer and looked quite natural. Some of support characters too

10. Flower in Prison - ML (Go Soo) and several support characters have natural skin tones (some of them look tanned)

As bonus, you can check works with Lee Byun Hon and Kim Tae Ri, they have darker natural skin tone (Start with their common work Mr Sunshine)

Edit: previous comment was edited while I was typing mine, so I'll keep both recommendations

10 dramas where FL cooks well as hobby/house chore. She shouldn't work as chef

  1. Fated to Love You (S. Korea, 2014). FL's cooking is what won her in-laws over.

2.) Kitchen For Singles (It's a food drama, but very home-style cooking. She is not a chef.)

3.) Dine With Love  (she works in the food industry, but not as a chef)

4.Love in Contract-FL is good at everything. She cooked gourmet level meals for the ML every week too
