Proper first aid, even CPR. A band aid is not first aid, it is more like zeroth aid...

For example, there is a scene in Doctor John where he sew himself in the jail. That would be first aid in a non medical environment but Doctor John is a medical drama, so it does not qualify.

Thanks for the explanation. I agree with what you said. I just thought of DOTS where he uses teddy bears as a neck brace but since that is a medical drama it doesn't count :)

On a side note, doesn't it just annoy you when they put blood on the outside of a bandage? If the person doing the bandaging did a proper job of it, there wouldn't be any.

In some cases, when the bandage is done in a hurry it can happen, doesn't it? Well, sometimes is really annoying as you mention.
