This is slightly harder for me as I've long given hope that I will enjoy romance but I will give it a shot.
It made my laugh our loud. It is the typical rich ML and poor FL with a contract marriage and hidden identity. It was definitely worth the watch with interesting characters. I loved the second couple as well.
It is a hit or miss with this one. Personally I'm more neutral and sometimes seems the romance isn't their and there is no little sexual connection. But we all loved the sassy best friend.
It was excellent acting with you really hating some, feel sorry for others. It was a classic case of love triangles, marriage convenience. It did get a little dark
This for me was informative about relationships for different age pairs so someone im sure will be relatable and take some life lessons from it. It is quite mature though
Would love for recommendations to be from my plan to watch only as it is almost as long as my competed so need to shrink it a little.

Hello, Killer_Queen
I'd like to recommend one of these:
3 dramas from your ptw list
An English teacher meets a temple heir who registers a package of English course from her (even though the man is very fluent) in order to date and marry her. But there's also a few men who seems to like her. Which man will she choose as marriage partner?
A grown-up man gets a wedding invitation from his college crush, but then he finds a tool in his room to get back to the past (and back to the future many times) to change his fate. It's just there's this tall and handsome guy keep ruining his plan. Will he get to change his fate?
A boy never win #1 since forever because his rival is unbeatable. But when he's heartbroken from failed love, his rival try to comfort him. Could it be there's something more than rivalry?
And 2 impressive (imo) movies:
A contract killer falls in love with an ordinary woman. He tries to quit his job, but would it be that easy?
Several spies from North Korea enter South Korea and stay vigilant to wait for further instruction. As they become comfortable with their ordinary life, there's a new mission come. Will they be able to survive this mission?
I prefer not to watch zombie, bullying, ghost, marriage affair, sexual harrassment, incest, more than 20 years age-gap romance; but if you want to recommend me some great ones I don't mind. But it'll be better if they're less bloody than Beyond Evil or Kingdom.
I prefer to watch less episode than more since I have to catch up with my 8 airing dramas and some completed drama, but I don't mind if it's a masterpiece, as long as it's under 40 episodes.
Thank you in advance.
I accept Better Days. It's been on my ptw list since ages actually, but since the theme is bullying I need to prepare my heart first.
Status: Completed
Rating: 10/10
Better Days told an unsual realationship between a good student and a small-time punk (as the middle-aged police said near the end). They met through accident when the small-time punk being beaten and the good student was asked by the beater to kiss the punk and she did it. The movie begin with one of the student jump from the school building and the good stufend cover her with her jacket then she got asked by the police about the dead student, she said she didn't know but then she got bullied by the bullies. Later she asked protection from the small-time punk. If i told more it'll be spoiler. Please watch it if you haven't.
It's very deep and heavy. I get goosebumps and shed some tears from time to time.
Thank you for the recommendation. I love it so much.
Hello, autumn iris! I was confused on what should I recommend you, so I added some of my fav and some from your plan to watch
-Click on the title to reach the page (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
I wasn't sure what to recommend you so I decided the one from your PTW but I need to warn you that it's a tearjeaker.
- Better Days: My top favourite movie. ✓
- My Annoying Brother: Since it was available on your PTW.
- I Told Sunset about You: Since it was available on your PTW.
- Two Lights: Relumino: Since it was available on your PTW.
I am open to all recommends. Prefer BL or any type of movies. Dramas are okay but not more than 10 episodes.
Don't worry, just recommend me. I am sure that one of your recommend is in my PTW so absolutely don't go there („• ֊ •„)੭
I accept autumn iris's recommendation of Till We Meet Again
Status: Completed
Rating: 9/10
Thoughts: Thank you autumn iris for the recommend! The ghost part were really weird but leaving that everything else was beautiful. I always loved the concept of red string. But I didn't like how they tied string of Alan Shi with Pinky, it would be better with Mi, I am okay since everything ends well even if not it's not how I wanted. First I thought the string was going to the snail, the vet doctor was holding lol. I tried so much to not cry cause my mom was sitting in front that my throat started to hurt so bad but since I have periods and my cramps are deathly painful so my mom didn't suspect.
Hello, KC Drama LOVER
I'd like to recommend some sad movies from your ptw list:
- Hello Ghost (family always protect you)
about a suicidal man who needs to fulfill the wishes of the ghosts around him to get rid of them
- Till We Meet Again (true love means sacrifice)
about a ghost who become god of love, trying to match her girlfriend with another man but she haven't forget him so all the red string she wear always snatch
- Your Eyes Tell (it's never too late to atone your mistake)
about a criminal and retired boxer who fall in love with a blind girl
Some psychological BL movies:
- Dangerous Drugs of Love (suicide is never the answer, survival is)
about the kidnap, confinement, and rape of a suicidal man by a doctor
(warning.: It's very explicit and dark)
- Method (it's important to live in reality not in some fantasy)
about an actor and and an idol acting together and mix the script and the reality
Some Thailand movies:
- How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies (family never stop loving each others)
about a man who take care of his dying grandma to gain inheritances
- Pee Mak (love has no boundaries)
about a soldier who goes home finding his wife and son are strange, not knowing they're ghosts
Recommend me anything as long as I haven't watched or dropped it.
I choose Someday or One Day.
Thank you Anne613 for the recommendation.

Actually I like it very much at the beginning, but starting from the time the male lead could also go into the future I get more confused and as the story goes I get even more confused. I replay several scenes a few times because my brain can't digest some scenes especially but not the only one, the scene where the doctor goes into fl's house, make fl unconcious and kill ml. And the ending is also ambiguous. But the soundtracks are great, 10/10.

I accept ElBee’s recommendation to watch "Be Melodramatic." Honestly, I don’t think I’d have given it a shot without the nudge.
Status - CW Dropped (2/16)
Edit: 2
I'm sorry, but I had to drop it.
The drama feels like it's trying too hard to be edgy. Most of the characters are portrayed with heavy sarcasm. While being different can be fun, here it feels forced, like each character is trying too hard to appear cool. Instead of feeling authentic, it's a bit of a mockery of reality. Maybe I’ll give it another shot some other time.

Hi, Anne613!
I had to think a while to recall some romances that have happy endings without too much sadness making them bittersweet. Here are a few I can recommend based on what you’ve enjoyed so far:
Twinkling Watermelon is a rare case where I think a show is well worth the hype (and man there is a lot of hype for it)-some initial hype was because of the young actors, but the story is what made it sustain the high praise. It has an interesting combination of music and deaf characters as main focal points, but the character dynamics are fun, tender, sweet, and sometimes overly familiar/real in a way that is quite authentic to teenhood of the main era we see them in. I think you’ll enjoy it. It is high energy and was either the first or last thing I watched in a given day when it aired (first because I couldn’t wait, last because I wanted it to be what I fell asleep after seeing!) The bromance is even stronger (and gave me fun secondhand embarrassment that made me turn red while laughing) than the romance, but the romance is really endearing the whole way through.
Thirty But Seventeen is a story where first love leads to trauma but returns to bring healing… the romance is a slower burn here as the FL has been in a coma for 13 years and goes back to the house she lived in before (so cohabitation is part of it, too) where the one living in it is a traumatized man who thought she was gone from this world after he told her what bus stop to get off at and blamed himself for her particular death on that bus. That should be enough description to let you know if it is your kind of story. Bromance is pretty cute in it, too.
After reading your message, I am going to offer these two that fit your descriptions (didn’t want to just use your PTW):
Bits of charming quirkiness, character-driven, emotional, romance... they fit the bill and are very unique in their own lasting ways. Hopefully one of them works!
Ready for recs! Anything up to ~20 hours works, my only firm exception/non-option dubbing (so no historical cdramas). Please ignore my PTW and just tap the score button on my lengthy completed list (and country if you are only recommending from one or two places) to sort by rating see what I rated very high and very low and obviously check if I’m already watching it (not all eps get updated as regularly so even if it says 0 seen, I’ve started it, just been distracted from updating things not on air). Weird=wonderful for me so long as the writing and acting can pull me in! I could use something a little (or very) bizarre and funny or you can always entice me with a thriller!
I accept jenn’s recommendation for Kill Bok Soon!
Thoughts/rating: This was a fun ride! Jeon Do Yeon has yet to disappoint me! It was on my watchlist from the time she was cast (and my notes said “bonus Lee Jae Wook cameo” which made choosing it easy-and what a sweet cameo-except wait, who’s that girl calling ahjussi?! lol). It feels really hard to rate, but I gave it an 8.5-I would’ve liked it as a miniseries more just to get more story development for the daughter in particular, and more cases would’ve been welcome, especially a flashback, perhaps, to her very early start beyond the first encounter… I could definitely enjoy another 10 hours of it! I wish it hadn’t rushed quite so much (in terms of the story not having enough time to development-the fast action with the slow downs and them reading each other was fantastic!), but that is pretty common for films. Thanks for getting it off my PTW list! :)

Hi, my lovely El🐝
As always I struggled but I found some things to recommend. they vary in length
1. Kill Bok Soon - it's a movie. It is about a mother, who also happens to be an assassin and ends up in a certain situation when her contract renewal approaches. Sorry it's vague but it's hard to explain it without spoilers lol
2. My Only Love Song - it's an enjoyable drama. the FL is very arrogant and greedy so when she ends up back in time she has a difficult time adjusting (20 eps)
3. My Liberation Notes - feel like you might enjoy it
no horror or longer than 20 eps please.
looking for something light to watch not so heavy in meaning or requires a lot of thought lol

Hi jenn!
I recommend you to watch Under the Skin! It's one of my faves and the chemi between the leads is really good. I didn't see it on your list but just in case I missed it you can let me know and I'll pick something else!
If not that then a light one would be My Sweet Mobster. :)

Thoughts: The Forbidden Marriage is definitely worth a watch! It’s full of fun and quirky humor. The drama kept me hooked without taking itself too seriously. Thank you for the recommendation!
Rating: 8.5/10
Hello @Anne613,
This being a challenge, I would like to propose you watch The Forbidden Marriage which is a historical (well it takes place in the past, the accuracy is not their problem!) romance and a very, very funny drama to boot.
https://kisskh.at/photos/rdQwN_3 (photo link: apparently I cannot insert it here!).
I hope you'll accept the challenge! I never watch saeguks but I watched this one for the main actor and I loved it!
After a 6 month break, I decided to try this interesting challenge again. Two big, huge NOs: chinese dramas and horror dramas (except for funny ghosts!), please! The BL dramas that I've seen are all on my Dropped list (don't ask!;-))
Edit 1: Hello Elbee! Well, I tried watching Lost about four times and was never able to finish one episode so I'll be watching the japanese Home Drama I never heard of. Looking forward to it! Thanks...
EDIT 2: Well, I just finished it and even though I enjoyed it immensely, there were things bothering me about it. On one side is the awful title (I would have never picked this myself because of it) and the great and eventually awful music (too much of a good thing is just too unbearable: if I never hear the opening credits song again, it will be too soon. Moreover, that flute/violing irish sounding background score was tugging on my heartstrings with a vengeance...). On the other side, I had a few issues with the plot: everything is optimistic and uplifting but when the scandal breaks, it disappears just as quickly (I was expecting at least to see social services to show up because of the kids but...nothing? The problems are introduced and then solved as if by magic!). Eventually, I decided to believe that this is the utopian view of the world and then I decided also, not to be envious of them since, well...utopia i.e. a perfect world. I also decided just to enjoy the show and stop nitpicking....And enjoy it, I did! So thank ElBee for a great rec! 25/11/24
Final verdict: 9.5/10

Welcome back, Selbee!
I’m going to stick to two options this time. Both start from a quite sad place, but healing and finding one’s path in life is central to them, just with very different stories and styles of telling them. I can offer something chirpy and cheery if needed, or I can just serve them with a side of Higuma (which comes in 5 minute episodes lol).
From Japan, Home Drama is a found family story where survivors who lost their closest loved ones come together to find a place they can exist and just breathe without society making them suffocate as the process loss, survivor’s guilt, etc. The characters span 3 generations and have nothing in common save that one thing at the start but find value and purpose with one another. *The cinematography is not captured well in the online videos I found, but my eyes adjusted as they will when a story keeps me locked in, so despite the colors and resolution being greatly diminished because it’s an older show that was uploaded very long ago, my brain filled in what was lost to severe early online video compression.
or
From South Korea, Lost is a quiet, somber sort of work about humans “towing the line between lightness and darkness” as the original director’s words explain. It focuses on a 40 or so year old woman with clinical depression whose life feels as if it has gone nowhere and amounted to nothing and a younger man approaching 30 who feels like his is going nowhere and will never amount to anything. They are the strangest pairing to find solace and their place in the world together. The cinematography and especially the use of color (and sound and silence) is pretty close to unparalleled, the acting and characters all very real-feeling and incredibly flawed while finding their way in a very cold world.

I accept KC Drama LOVER’s recommendation for Even if This Love Disappears Tonight based solely on “couldn’t breathe” commentary. I don’t need to be anywhere today, so puff my eyes up like a baby blowfish under duress, Japan!❤️
Thoughts: ratings Overall. This was absolutely lovely! A few things felt imperfect or slightly off for me, the end quite a bit too heavily foreshadowed (I was almost certain of what would happen at the end very early though I knew nothing before hitting play, so I wish there hadn’t been the heavy attention on his mother’s death), but it was still beautiful. I started off irritated with the best friend only to love her and cry like crazy as she ran away with the diary… and the pictures being painted everywhere were quite touching, the memory deeper than any surface memories. It isn’t quite as high in my list of beloved tearjerkers as Heavenly Forest, but it is pretty close! I gave it a 9 (which is pretty rare for me with films in particular).
Unrelated note: It did, from the very start and for obvious reasons, make me want to go back and rewatch Memento, though… that film is one of my 9.8 rounded to 10* kinds of films, partly because I saw it in the cinema with one of my best friends back 24 years ago now. I have a signed director’s edition DVD of it… now to figure out if I still have a way to watch it!

Rating: 10/10
Thoughts: Ok so first I cried buckets (especially in last episode). Don't ask me why cause I don't know but Jeong-U reminded me of Tadashi from Big Hero 6. I always know cameo's cause I watch edits and they give me so many spoiler but I never ever expected to see Wookie here. I saw the cellist speech in an edit but I forgot about it until I saw that episode and was like yeahh, I remember! I can never digest Star-crossed lovers, I cry a lot when I see them (I think I died that way in my past life tbh). Now I know I always say I love it, I love it cause I really do but this drama will live in me, I swear.
