Ahhh then you should definitely watch this another Indian one called "Man's world". It's the og. It's again about a man who believes women have it easier getting transmigrated into matriarchy, but trust me it's sooo good.... It's like a mini series and you'll have a lot of fun with it...

Ohhh, ok. seems very nice. I'll try to find it also. Thanks :)

I just watch this vertical drama about the romance between a super girl who has super human strength and a powerful CEO.

Enemies to lovers trope.

In a nutshell (first scenes): during their childhood, orphaned super powerful FL lifted a tree to save young heir apparent ML . Resulting in ML falling deeply in love at first sight with her. Years later, ML schemes to make his longs lasting crush fall for him. ML is FL's family's enemy.

I am a sucker for that kind of trope in which powerful characters becomes doting and sweet toward their loved one, regardless of the dire situation. And I am totally pleased here.

What I liked was that beautiful dynamic they have . ( Full of of tenderness and understanding, when outside the household they have their battles to win). Mogule FL becomes a puppy husband for FL and Super Powerful FL becomes ML's protector.

I also liked that , the villainous SML was ridiculously and pathetically funny. And FL and ML extract revenge on him, in their own personnal way. That was satisfying.

I hope you like it. It is a funny watch full of jokes, yet there are some angsty moments too.

Available now : 联姻后,冷情老公不装了 (2026)

Synopsis from douban :

On the day of her engagement, the super-strong Liu Xu was handed over to another man by her childhood-sweetheart fiancé; meanwhile, Rong Yanyun—a CEO who had waited fifteen years and never hesitated to make his intentions clear—stepped in instantly. He was a master of smooth romantic lines and unabashedly doted on his wife, flaunting their affection so openly that everyone knew about it—often to the point of making onlookers cringe. Her childhood sweetheart was devastated, weeping and begging her to return, but she simply produced her marriage certificate and said, "Sorry, it's too late."

联姻后,冷情老公不装了Have a good day.

One of the first series I watched during my RR journey and... of the more traumatizing ones 😭 This series was scarring, especially after the cute uwu matriarchy that The Romance of Tiger and Rose presented. Admittedly, it was good... maybe too good, but it definitely tackles the matriarchy from a darker and less comedic lens than we're used to seeing.

I tried to find it but failed. I keep searching. Indeed ML is very cute. Hope I get my hands on this vertical drama.

I posted the link in the drama page

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to start watching "The pursuit of jade" but you made me doubt it. If you didn't like this drama, the dynamic between the leads might be different from what I expect it to be.

My issues were mostly with the story itself rather than the leads. The drama is just painfully boring, slow, tedious, and poorly written with unbearable villains with the most absurd plot-armor I have seen even in verticals (I expect a certain level of plot armor, especially for the MCs, but for the villains? This was an insult to my intelligence!), and the same plot point regurgitated to the point of exhaustion. I said it at the time, but the drama felt like a vertical series in terms of writing-quality, only stretched across 30 grueling hours. I only watched until ep 20 when everything started going tremendously downhill, because even if boring as watching weeds grow, I could at least tolerate the beginning. The leads were pretty cute even tho not super RR. She is strong and very protective and he's her pookie matrilocal husband who's just so 'weak' and 'pitiful' ;) for the first 16ish episodes. Then the focus starts shifting onto the extremely abusive red-flag relationship between the secondary couple and I started to feel sick and extra bored, so I dropped it. (Besides, if imma be watching red-flag behavior, it better be for a woman... like ffs)

unbeliebubble:
Good in my opinion because sometimes, I have the impression that writer want me to watch the story of the villains, I don't like it.

Might wanna skip Pursuit of Jade then, the red-flag rapist SML's 'romance' gets a LOT of screentime 😬 He's the reason I dropped it. Not sure if they pulled a plot twist and made him 'not that bad actually', but judging how the fans liked him, I'm inclined to think no... Not sure tho.

And hey, thanks for all the vertical drama recommendations!!! I'll be having a lot more joining my never-ending PTW-list 😂 I especially like the sound of "Peerless Daughter". A reversal on role reversal sounds like a compelling watch! And I love me a cute, weak, scholarly ML with a hardass warrior FL, cute!

Ki & Ka sounds really good! I've been looking for some househusband shows to watch! I will have to try and find it subtitled 😁

Love all the vertical suggestions, I can't get the posts to quote for whatever reason, but I've been adding all of them to my bookmarks! :) I caught a cold a couple days ago so watching some RR verticals while I'm recovering sounds really nice haha
