Why are series rewatched not counted in yearly totals ?

 I like to rewatch my favorite series/movies every year and do  update it in the advanced tab of the series i.e Number of times rewatched +Rewatch value . But the rewatched series/movie doesn't get counted in my yearly total.

is there any way to change this ?
