I was sincerely shocked. I was like seriously?! there are actual people who are doing this?
And I also read things about SuJu saesangs, man those one... wow, just wow
The thing is that the majority of saesangs are under 18 and cannot be punished by the law, if I read it correctly...

I'll come back later. I need to finish a book to review and I was sucked in by the title of the thread. *shakes fist at Jeanie unnie* :p

I saw the whole new-wife-is-horrible-blahblahblah when Oguri Shun married Yamada Yu earlier this year. Even though I joked to a friend with a phrase like "aww...another one gone", I also know that I had no chance in the first place. Girls were calling Yamada so many horrible things, and I was shocked. I've always liked her as an actress, and I'm sure that before she married Shun, many of those girls thought so too.

If Shota-kun or SJS ever find love I will wish them well. And D will be happy too. LOL!

Though idol group members interviewed by Kyunghyuang Shinmun said they understood the benefits of this strategy, many admitted they still felt jealousy and dislike towards more popular members, and anxiety over their own fame.

This article is not directly connected to the celebrity/fan relation however I think it nicely sums up the flipside of k-pop groups.

catnip wrote: I think the main problem why this issue arises is because the Korean producers choose to have way too many members in a band. For me, 6 is already many it's just that now I'm accustomed to it. For example, there is a band Supernova which I love a lot, and there are 6 members in them, now one of them's in the army, so seeing only five people on stage is already different in a positive way (though I love the sixth one as well and I'm waiting for him to come back). But how can one imagine having 13 members like Suju, or even 7 or 8 and to expect that everyone will be treated equally? Of course then, with so many members, one has to have some 2-3 main ones by whom to identify the band, that's why unjust promotion is taking place, then resulting in unjustly bias only because the company wants so, not because the fans choose so.
catnip wrote: Well, if we go with all the "you don't know him/her at all" judgment about celebrities, then it really goes the same that you cannot really love a celebrity either cause you have no idea what's he or she like. You can only go "(s)he's talented" and that's it. But we all go spazzing around and fantasizing about being their gfs or whatever (which is still not the point for me hating Yamada cause it's not like we're in a competition or anything). Yes, of course it's only my opinion, but I surely am allowed to have my own opinion. I don't go yelling around that someone should kill her or anything, just leave her out of my sight and I'll be okay.
