✩ W E L C O M E ✩ | 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯 i mostly use mdl for movies rather than dramas, and i love adding films i want to watch someday, even if i'm not sure when. my favorite genres are thriller, crime, coming-of-age, suspense, and mystery. i also enjoy stories that keep me hooked and make me think, as well as human-centered narratives that explore life’s struggles or portray everyday life realistically. |
✩ some tropes i love ✩rival friends . childhood friends .odd couple, food bonding .coming of age. found family, false accusation .detective duo.tragic past. moral dilemma.bromance. | ✩avoid at all costs ✩ forced romance.abusive relationships.toxic partners.love triangles.overly naive protagonist .excessive fanservice.subplots that go nowhere. |
 | ✩ my rating system ✩ I rate based on what I feel and what I see on screen it's a mix of casual vibes, intuition, and balance. Plot counts for 30%, acting 25%, emotional impact 20%, visuals and sound 15%, and pacing 10%. I usually rate between 8.5 and 10. depending on whether I’m feeling more emotional or more technical about it. |
✩ about me ✩ i usually say i’ve got an old soul. and maybe that’s true, since i’ve always been drawn to retro stuff city pop, classic rock, and old school pop. my story with asian productions goes way back to the early 2000s, when bruce lee, jackie chan, jet li, and tony jaa were huge icons of action and martial arts cinema. streaming didn’t even exist back then everything was taped on vhs. it might sound like i lived centuries ago, but not really. options were limited at the time. i used to watch movies mostly at a neighbor’s house, and funny enough, he would put on a black-and-white asian film almost every single day. they were simple martial arts stories without special effects, but they sparked a fascination in me that only grew stronger over time. later, on regular tv, i discovered classic japanese animated films, like those from studio ghibli, which deepened my love even more. |
