Gender Bender vs Crossdressing - what's the difference?

Can someone please explain the difference between these two terms?

Hmm why are then some dramas tagged as gender bender when their leads do not go through any medical procedure? They are only pretending to be the opposite gender.

gender bender, does not involved any medical procedures in dramaland.  it is just a character who disguises him/herself as the opposite sex.  Gender bender is (i think) the more acceptable term when describing drama.  Crossdressing is more of laymans term outside the dramaland
