Prisoner of Beauty is the first Chinese historical in a few years that I've really, really enjoyed for striking a good balance between comedy, romance and political maneuvering.
Hoping it finishes strong in the second half.

That's great 😊! I have heard/read many good feedback on TPoB, and I have friends recommending it too. I'm glad to know it has a a good balance of comedy, romance and political intrigue. These are usually good ingredients in a historical drama.
I'm currently watching both of these and loving them. The Legend of Zang Hai is darker than I expected, but it's compelling and the production is amazing.
I'm currently watching Legend of Zang Hai. Loved it. The plot is well-structured and there's enough excitement. All actors are chosen carefully and there's no unneccessary scene. Highly recommended.autumn iris:
