Hello!

I'm new here (not on MDL, but didn't know such club exsists! <3). I'm BIG historical drama lover (most of my watched dramas are historical), nowadays, I watch very slowly but still it's a perfect community for me :)

I'm currently watching The Haunted Palace and When Life Gives You Tangerines (loves it, and I alrady cried a river on episode 6 Q.Q).

Welcome to the club 😊!  I watch a lot of historical/costume/period dramas, mostly Chinese language ones though I try to explore others if time permits. I also include modern dramas into my repertoire. I have 3 episodes to go for A Dream within a Dream and I've started Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance. Next on my list is Coroner's Diary. I saw the trailer and was intrigued so I've added it in my PTW list 🙂.

I am at episode 6 of Coroner's Diary and I am loving it!! I hope the detailed autopsies and investigations continue because they are really making this drama so much more interesting and engaging and it doesn't descend into a palace politics only drama which there are so many of right now. So far really really good!! Fast paced so that your attention is engaged but also slow paced where required. And the chemistry between characters is great! The Yan clan is a whole group of good looking men too!! LOL

Ohh looks like it has the same vibes as Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty 1 and 2 (I highly recommend them). Now I'm more excited to start it! 😊

I already completed In the Name of Blossom.

It has happy ending~ He Wei Fang expand her business throughout the country, and Jiang Chang Yang (now Jiang Da Shan) becomes a house-husband haha so unexpected.

While I like most of the ending including the last episode -kind of epilogue-, I wish to see what will become of Princess Ning and whether she'll enter the monastery or not, and whether she'll completely forgive and even pray for Liu Chang, King Ning, and his first husband.

Laughing at Li Xian, King Ning and Yu Zheng, Hedong general. Uh, familiar names~

I always love Yang Zi. She's great. And I almost always like all her partners in her drama. Expecting her upcoming two other dramas (not The Golden Hairpin) to come quick.

I'm currently watching Better Halves. It's a light-hearted costume drama about the romance of a matchmaker and the couple(s) she's matchmaking.

The daughter of the #1 matchmaker in the country (her mother) who aspires to follow her mother's step proposed to a child beggar 10 years ago to live in her house after her coming-of-age ceremony. In recent time, that child has become a businessman with unbeatable martial art (his words) and after he finds out that this matchmaker is actually the one giving him snack and a marriage promise, he helps her in her job and all the other things (all the while romancing her until she falls for him and drunk-kiss him in the end of episode 5). Until episode 6, there's no further information about ML's real identity but he seems to hold important status in politics as he always knows and ruins the villain's (matchmaking) plan.

Always love shows about matchmaker.

I have to agree! I was so impressed by the actress playing the FL specially, though the whole cast was great. And her grit in the face of adversity was amazing to watch!!!

Thanks for sharing.  I just checked out the trailer and it looks interesting!  The ML is the younger half-brother of Zhuang Han Yan in The Glory.  

Oh this one looks good too!  Liu Xue Yi and Tan Song Yun!  I wonder when they will release this. 

yes, he was the FL's brother in The Glory. His character in A Dream Like The True Love is totally different.
