Hello! I finished The Wanted Detective last night. I like it and thoroughly enjoyed this one, as the suspense, pacing, acting and overall story got me invested right from the start. Wang Xing Yue, Julia Xiang, Chen You Wei, Deng Kai, He Luo Luo and Zhang Nan gave good performances. So glad I was not swayed by some of the negative comments and decided to watch this 👏! I suggest to give this a shot, especially if mystery/suspense/crime-solving is your thing.
I read that Wang Xing Yue hard carried The Wanted Detective, but also read that it's a pretty good and interesting drama. I only like Wang Xing Yue and not the other parts (including the plot) of the drama so I skip it.
Just completed The Patriot Yue Fei.

They said you should be lenient with others, but be strict with oneself. Yue Fei, this loyal general, is strict with himself and strict with others (with the exception of his mother; even his second wife and his only daughter are no exception). He even dictate the emperor at one occassion, scold the emperor at the other occassion, and more. He makes the coward emperor has love-hate relationship with him and very wary of him.
His arch-enemy is Qin Hui (whose statue was made to kneel before Yue Fei's tombstone in real life), a manipulative man with glib tongue who's, under Jin dynasty's emperor's command, being made to betray Song dynasty in exchange for freedom, wealth, and power. He's super evil, killing everyone blocking his way to the top, Yue Fei even asks, "Don't you feel scare when the night comes?"
Recommended if you look for a drama to increase your blood pressure and heartbeat. Lost half of episode 28, but it's not that important (only Yue Fei taught Zhao Yong about moral, so that he'd change his way and about Zhao Yong saved a woman-from the raw I watched-)
