FaeryWren:
so craig is 3km north and 4km west of josie?

That's right - and then you need trigonometry to solve for the angle from "opposite" and "adjacent". I think it's:  inverse tangent(3/4) = 36.9° - or "to the nearest degree" = 37° ... which sounds about right (plausibility check), as it's got to be something a bit less than 45°. (P.S. Long long ago I studied engineering.)

 FaeryWren:

So I can assume that craig is 3km from Josie north, so you just have to find the angle of a km?

I think? ..... so craig is 3km north and 4km west of josie?

I have absolutely no clue what ur saying lmao TT

dont worry, neither do I LOL

I literally just answered todays challenge question, saying I was a drama and art kid. All i had to do for math was pass LMAO

 OnyxTheHedgehog:

Write Josie on a piece of paper. Then to the left of Josie, write Peter, the line between them is 6 km.
Above Peter write Lucia. The line between Peter and Lucia is 3 km. To the right of Lucia write Craig. The line between Lucia and Craig is 2 km. If you unite Craig with Josie, it gives you a right trapezoid.

I think it asks you the distance between Craig and Josie, right? In this case, draw a line from Craig, down to the line between Peter and Josie. It makes a right triangle. Right triangles have the formula c ^ 2 = a ^ 2 + b ^ 2, where a, b are the right angle lines (the lines that form the right angle) and c is the other line.
You need to find c which is the distance between Craig and Josie, using the formula. Aka you need to write, c ^ 2 = 3 ^2 + 4 ^ 2 => c^ 2 = 25 => c ^ 2 = 5 => The Distance between Craig and Josie is 5 km.

(This is because we know that Lucia - Craig distance is 2 km and if you draw the line that makes a triangle, you separate the base of the trapezoid in two parts. One part is equal to the distance between Lucia and Craig and the other one you can find out by doing the math. Distance between Peter and Josie - (minus) distance between Lucia and Craig. Which is 6 -2 = 4 km.)

Hope this helps!

Agreed - and in addition to your two excellent examples, there are some other heavier or non-HEA titles that I like and would also call "BL" (good examples: "My Bromance" original movie, "Eien no Kinou", "The Best Story"). I admit that there's a fine line for what's "BL" (by my vague definition) and what's "gay-themed drama", and I myself am not always consistent in how I apply it. Based on many Western gay-themed dramas over my lifetime (from the original "Boys in the Band" through the AIDS era, to "Brokeback Mountain" more recently), what most of them have in common is that they leave me feeling depressed.

Back then I wasn't into BL live action. But I remembered Brokeback Mountain was Jude Law and omg I forgot his name, the one who played Joker and Cassanova and the twins King and citizen (the storyline was kinda like Crowned Clown). Yeah their movie, it was a hit but I haven't watched it. I only watched more innocent BL like Cherry Magic, Kieta Hatsukoi, The Untamed, Guardian (but its story was very great, adapted from Priest's novel if I remembered right, I've read the novel, masterpiece) until KinnPorsche hit me mid-last year. Crazy but very good. Then I watched a lot of Thai BL. Sadly not a lot recent Th-drama that's as good as KinnPorsche.

Ah, you recommended me The Best Story movie version but I love War Wanarat's acting and Yin Anan Wong's visual so I put the drama version on my ptw.

@FaeryWren @p43425 @Emrys

I got the answer guysss

Ok so basically, u have to draw it out and it forms a triangle and u have to do trigonometry: inverse tan(4/3) = 53.13….

And then u take that amount away from 360 to get 307 degrees (to the nearest degree)

Also, thx for all ur help- took a while but we got there in the end lol

No more maths hw for two weeks yayyy

BL to the rescue LMAO

Love u guys lol <3

or "to the nearest degree" = 37°

@Onys: Oh yes, I didn't think of that. Assuming they want a navigational course (clockwise from due north = 0°), then you're correct: 270° + 37° = 307°

I love sweet 'n innocent BLs like these. (To be honest, heavy snogging and tongue slurping doesn't really do much for me. Yeah, I know I'm the minority on this.)

I see that you (like me) really liked the Thai remake of "Cherry Magic" (arguably even better than the original), but have you watched the GMMTV remake "My Love Mix-Up"? I don't see it on your list. While it's not quite as good as the Japanese original, it's still a pleasure to watch, especially for Gem/Fourth fans. Cute, sweet and innocent!

I'm confused. I think there is only one "The Best Story" (short three-episode school BL, photo below). I mentioned the original 2014 movie of "My Bromance". (I've never watched the 2016 series, which has a different cast and team and is also rated a bit lower.)

I know I had said that I would not give an in club rating or final review but I changed my mind ("American  Fan *smirk* why am I like this lol)

Maybe too hard to resist?

 p43425:
One of the Great Divides in this group is whether "UWMA" or "Between Us" is better (or even the best BL of all time).

I vote neither.  haha

 p43425:
Yes, either that - or else just launch their own soft porn channel. I'd be fine with either.

DAY 22 - Fav school subject

Easy - ART! And free period, heehee.

Day 22-  What were your favorite school subjects? I was fascinated by History and soon found out the version I learned of my country's history is not the one American books have. It shouldn't have been a shocker but I was in 7th grade and still quite naive. I also enjoyed Literature classes where fiction introduced me to different worlds that I wanted to explore. I took language classes: English, Spanish and French, eventually taking French for 7 years through college, plus French culture and French film. in the  In the end, I had to admit I was a STEM kid. I majored in Math in university.

My Cherry Magic Thailand is indeed the better version. The original ml look kind but he's not as expressive as Tay Tawan. And Tay has this sincere and clear eyes (okay, I'm a fan but I'm always objective) and they way he talk is so soft and patient. As for Newwie, he's cuter than the original mc. He's also the better actor.

I don't really like GemFot pairing that much. I like Fourth, he's a cutie pie, I even following him on IG.

For Gem, I don't know, there's something missing from his expression probably because of the way he talk or the way he smile or his lips, I don't know. I think he's not very good in Thailand either, sometimes he can't read Thailand words. Could be internasional school student problem (which Phuwin as an Internasional school student doesn't have). But he's quite good at his role in Moonlight Chicken

Though... he can't be compared to Ren Meguro (the original ml on Kieta Hatsukoi)'s role on Silent as a deaf person. He's one versatile actor. His most recent work, Umi no Hajimari is also very good but I haven't finished it. I also watch his other works like Trillion Game and My Happy Marriage. He's my recent favorite J-actor alongside Masaki Suda and Kimutaku.

The mc is also very good. He acted on Even if Love Disappear from The World Tonight. I cried like a fool for him.
