It's probably better that I watch it there anyway, because then I won't have all those constant short ad interruptions on YouTube or deal with the episodes all being broken into four parts.

I've already watched Bad Buddy, but I have a friend that I introduced to BLs very recently and he's loving them. I got him to watch a couple of starter ones to get him introduced to the genre first. We're going to watch Bad Buddy together. But I can watch Bad Buddy over and over again it's just such a good series. 🥰

Yeah, whenever I have a choice, I also prefer to watch on Viki. My only gripe with Viki is that it doen't provide functionality for speed watching, which I use a lot (on Youtube, Gaga, iQiyi and WeTV) - but "Bad Buddy" is so good that it's hardly necessary.

Yup, it's a shame that Viki has slowed down on new BL content, but they still have a great inventory of older stuff, mostly top quality.

No, I mean using a faster playback speed (usually 2X), which I use quite a lot on Gaga, iQiyi, WeTV and Youtube. I try not to ever skip things lest I miss something relevant (other than opening or closing credits) - so while I sometimes use -10 seconds if I didn't quite catch something, I almost never use +10.

By the way, I wrongly wrote that Viki doesn't have +/- 10 sec. I meant Youtube - and it's also missing from WeTV, also on the plus side, WeTV does have a choice of playback speeds even up to 3X.

It works for me. 3X is admittedly a stretch, but I can usually follow 2X (or 1.5X) just fine. It's a fine balance between feeling rushed and feeling bored. In the case of some 12-hour Thai series of mediocre quality and lots of filler and cliché, it's sometimes the only way I can get through them. (So why am I even watching these, you may ask?  The answer in one word: "cuties".)

As to the mess of teen crushes, love triangles and broken hearts, isn't that the way it really is? I thought this series did such a good job of capturing teen emotions. But don't worry, the ending is (mostly) happy.

Yes, it is like irl, but it takes patience on my part to watch it in action, as it's not a favorite type of drama, either irl or as a series. Too much wishy washiness, haha 😵‍💫 

Maybe I could try your speed watching technique. 😆
