Oh, can you say why? I'm curious. Is it a bad thing? Cuz I heard it could help ratings? I suppose it could do the opposite too.
Personally, I would feel pressured rating a single episode. Sometimes an episode might be slower but is needed for worldbuilding or plot, and it will later pay off. It feels unfair to look at it on it's own, so I prefer looking at the bigger picture.
I also think it skews the rating, particularly to the negative. It often happens to Japanese dramas, where right off the bat (first episode) the ratings are super low.
But that's just me, I actually have no inner knowledge of the workings of MDL ratings lmao
