I think there's more kiss scenes in this episode than the whole show together.

The River - 6.5/10

I found this short Thai series on YouTube, and for the most part I was engaged in the story. The English subtitles are horrible because I had to use the auto-translate feature due to a lack of English subtitles. This is not my first rodeo so I managed to pick meaning out of it. 

This is not sweet or cute. The ending is bloody and dramatic, so I am not that sad about it.

This series falls into the Lakorn genre, so yes the Naga myths are involved in the story. It is set in rural Thailand. It delves into the themes of love, loss and grief.

It can make for a quick watch if you are willing to tolerate the subtitle issue.

Yeah lol I speak it but it's just weird to hear different voices overlaid when I know how they sound irl 

I need a mindless show I can watch at work, one that I can look away from for a couple minutes (probably seconds lol) and not be 100% lost.

I can't recall the show now, but I couldn't find the English subtitles for an episode. Found the Spanish subtitles and went with it. I took Spanish for 3 years in grades 4-6 and it does return when needed. It was pretty fun. There were a few words I had to look up - my vocab is soooo limited. My sister and I are determined to be polyglots in this lifetime, so we signed up for Pimsleur. I've brushed up on French, now onto Spanish until our solar eclipse trip there in August 2026, but also starting Japanese.

I do. 

For their first series maybe a quirky, comedy office romance. The office staff all have personality quirks.

Pepper is the strong protective (but only slightly bossy) type, but with a twist. He's a bit of a innocent dork. 

JJ would be a sassy AND smart cutie. Not the pure innocent type though. (cough cough).  So a role reversal where the cutie takes the lead in certain areas, if you know what I mean.

JJ does a good job of delivering sarcastic lines, which I love, so Pepper could be the straight to JJ's comedic side.

Cherry Magic popped into my mind after writing this, but I want more comedy and quirkiness, less biz stuff. More sass and witty writing.
