A Perfect Match - Finale

After seeing all the posts about this series I decided to binge watch it. I actually enjoyed it. It is obviously a low budget production, but for me that just added to its charm. I agree with @axdxex that it looks like it was filmed "15 years ago" (your comment cracked me up by the way). This for me made the entire watch experience  nostalgic. It reminded me of watching the first set of History series. BL productions have certainly come a far way.

Another thing I liked about this series is that despite budget constraints, hence the need for the amount of product placement in it, they still managed to give a substantial story-line in my view. Even though they could not explore the complexities of Grandma's feelings on a deeper basis with more screen time they still gave enough attention to it to provoke thought, so that the audience can make its own inferences. 

I liked how they portrayed the best  friend relationship between Tian Xiang and Qian Qian; it did not seem contrived to fit a quick or rushed script. The chemistry between Lin Xiao Nan and Tian Xiang was adequate enough to hold my interest during their interactions.  I also appreciate how the ex was written as a protagonist to cause provocation of the audience; it kept me engaged and in anticipation of his next evil move. 

The intimacy was also not stiff or cringe in my view. The visuals were displayed well enough given the limited camera resources.

There are of course flaws, but as I said, for me that just added to its unique quirkiness that comes with most low budget productions.

As I said it is a really low budget production, but they made due and delivered something that is worth getting picked by bigger pockets. I really like the premise of the story, and would want to see it produced into a full blown Taiwanese BL series. 

Story-line - a young man raised and living with his grandmother goes searching for a job in a big company, manages to save the CEO's sister from danger and thus starts the course of a romance between a struggling young man and a cold CEO. I would watch this. Plus, there is so much depth to explore in Tian Xiang's character in regards to any possible trauma that has scared him from the death of his parents. I really like this story-line presented in the series, so I hope somebody picks it up.

Anyway, these are my thoughts. 

7/10 (extra point for my enjoyment lol)

I haven't yet watched Sunday's latest episode, but as I and others have posted, the story has so far been a bit of a mess, so the appeal of "Boy Next World" is mainly for inveterate Boss/Noeul fans like me (but not you). My suggestion is to wait for final reviews. Still two episodes, so maybe the story will come together - or maybe not

I really enjoyed seeing Gawin in be My Favourite, so I CANNOT WAIT for this show! And the cast seems really cool too
