2gether ep 3

It’s been one month and we’ve only gotten through 3 eps 💀

My friend keeps on asking me to skip to Still 2gether so we can go past the boring parts and get to the romance lol

Anyway, we’re still obsessing over Bright 🤣

NOT BL RELATED

but maybe one of you can help me in dms

Does anyone have a list of good/recommended Romantic Chinese Dramas, in the vein of Love Scenery, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, Forever & Ever etc. Romantic but not crazy on the drama?

I'LL DELETE IN A LITTLE BIT ;)

 capybawra0w0:

not a huge fan actually
is it good storywise?

I'm backing up what Mr. P said. And add that I would wait until you don't have smth better to watch.

 Simi_Tutu:
Has anyone watched  Once Again?

I gave it a 9/10 but tbh I can't remember it very well, so I'm no use with a convo abt it. 😆

GAWIN is a cutie!!

Here's my fav list

FC Soldout

I meant to start Gelboys, but started FC instead. I'm in my restless cycle where it's hard to settle down with one drama and watch it all the way through. I keep hopping around thinking I will do that with the next drama. Is it like that for anyone else?

Anyways, I'm loving FC but not the new owner. I like the story twist, mixing idol goals with sports, but it's also awkward to watch. 🙀

Honestly 2gether has a special place in my heart. I recently rewatched it and felt so nostalgic as it was my first bl. Hopefully I'm gonna start rewatching still together tonight🤞🤞. Good luck watching it!! :)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS *sips water* YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I am not sure if this fits the recommendation you are looking for, but two Cdramas that have stuck with me are Sunshine of My Life (slow burn) and Here to Heart (heartbreaking)

 p43425:
Probably not what you want to hear

Actually, Many of your feelings about the series mirror my own.

 p43425:
although there are some minor plot holes
  • There are a million ways to flip the script and rescue Ji Hoon from his doom, but Jae Woo? He’s over there picking the most ridiculous options to lend a hand. Seriously, did it not cross their minds to take little Jae Woo on a field trip?
  • Keeping him away from those sketchy night streets where the killer was lurking could have saved his life. And let’s not even get started on the fact that they didn’t bother to clue in the younger Ji Hoon about his future self trying to protect him. Instead, he just freaks out and yells at him to back off,  all that did was make a kid think he was a stranger who was mentally unwell.
  • Plus, they dropped the ball by not bringing Hyun Jin into the mix for some extra backup.
  • And hello? Why not just call the cops when young Jae Woo was in trouble?
  • Hyun Jin present day goes back to the college dorm, letter in hand, to meet Jae Woo. Apparently,  Ji Hoon told him about everything that was happening — so why didn’t he swoop in and save the day?
  •  Honestly, the ending has me scratching my head. How did Jae Woo even get sent back in time?  They never really laid that out for us. What’s up with that last scene? Is he heading back to the past, or is he crying because he realizes he won't see Ji Hoon again? I mean, do they meet in the afterlife or what? Is it a time loop?
 p43425:
I can't really say it satisfied me as a BL relationship.

I was struggling to vibe with the whole romantic plot that was unfolding in the second half of the series. Jae Woo time-travels and tries to bond with Ji Hoon, I could get on board because, hello, it’s the grown-up Jae Woo! But then things take a weird turn when Ji Hoon figures out that the guy he’s chatting with is the older version of the little boy he’s been looking out for, who he sees as a younger brother. I’m just sitting there watching the drama  like, “Wait, what?” It’s not sitting right with me! Ji Hoon has only known the younger version, so now he’s developing feelings for this older version of a kid he’s been protecting? Sure, it’s time travel and all, but it’s giving me the heebie-jeebies. Honestly, if Ji Hoon had zipped forward in time and met Jae Woo's older self, I think I could handle that better than this whole present-meets-past situation where he’s getting all mushy over an older version of someone who’s still a kid in his timeline.

 p43425:
. Some might find the ending romantic in a certain way, but for me it was sad and heart-wrenching. I

Wouldn't a sad or happy ending have been more satisfying than this ambiguous conclusion? The final scene left me utterly bewildered. I did shed tears, yes, but it wasn't solely due to the narrative; it was more about the raw emotion of human suffering that resonates deeply with me. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that I missed something crucial in the story's climax. Now, I'm left pondering the fate of Ji Hoon. Is he gone for good, or is he trapped in some sort of time loop, endlessly reliving the same tragic moments? The thought of him facing that fate repeatedly is just too much.
