About Gelboys! Thoughts: (eps 4-5)
I really didn't think it'd say i dislike Chian and Mod now... but watching eps 4 and 5 they've acted so selfish in using others for their own benefit only... Even getting into Bua's story, It was kinda obvious he wasn't being hooked on, it was just Chian being hooked... then you 100% try and drop him once you get in an almost-relationship with Mod? I could be misunderstanding something so let me know your thoughts...
The scene in ep 4 where Baabin skips out on the concert he'd be highly anticipating for so long! and mod doesn't even confess! that crying scene was so powerful- Baabin is def my fav character rn.
With Bua too- I can't think of a scene where he was obviously leading Chian on? Calling him to rant about his day isn't a big sign like that? And Chian's notorious for that playlist thing by his other friends too? Bua just wants positive attention since he doesn't get it from other places and i'm crying for him for real.

(re "Gelboys") I should mention that it's not just another cute 'n fluffy Thai school BL. It's an authentic and dramatically well-done mess of modern-day teen emotions, one-sided crushes, and instrumentalisation of jealousy and friendships. "Love Sick 2024" was also really good, but this is something totally different.
So yeah, it's messy and the characters are flawed - but for me, "Gelboys" is one of those cases where that's exactly what makes it interesting and dramatically good.
And yeah, Baabin is a total sweetheart. I want to hug him!

Yes! The whole time watching i've been thinking how realistic it is. The way the relationships intertwine and interact are realistic- also these actors are just doing an awesome job in general. I also really love how much the characters are comfortable expressing themselves, their nails, their clothes, I love that all!
Following my all-time high of 14 currently airing BLs per above post from Feb. 8th, I'm now down to just four: "Perfect 10 Liners", "Flirt Milk", "Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist" and "Love Casting" (which is reality, not drama, but I'll call it a BL).
OK, I've done it. I've started on "Top Form" (so far really good!) and "Last Meal Universe" (train wreck, but too soon for me to say which kind: a cute and endearing goofball comedy of a train wreck, or a train wreck that's just painful to watch). Update: It's tending toward the latter. Cringe.
