I will watch and see, but I plan to be a good boy (ironic coming from someone who told people to have sex lol thank God most of my smut post are buried under hundreds of pages where no one goes digging lol)

also, i started Innocent last night and i'm liking it so far! it's a really interesting concept. i'd say pushing some boundaries but i like that sort of thing. i might post more in depth thoughts when i finish the whole thing as it's pretty short

I know I said this the other day, but wow, Mandee/DMD or whoever is really hyping up The Next Prince, even including a "Press conference" and a "Royal Premier Day". They have like a total of 11 promo vids just for this drama alone. I'm wondering if I should lower expectations just to be on the safe side.

They did come up with Middleman's Love after all. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤣

I have been keeping my expectations low just in case.

I have been seeing numerous tiktoks about this series. It is unfortunate that it is censored, I would have really enjoyed the story line. Anyway, like you I am going to read the novel.

I'm about to finish this today. I've heard some stuff already so I prob won't be as disappointed as I might have been.

Heesu in Class 2 - Final

WTH? Did I watch a BL or a straight with a side of BL?  So much that could have been....wasn't.  I feel lied to. Ironic that the moral of the story is don't lie.

The straight couple wasn't interesting and tbh didn't add anything to what I thought was supposed to be Heesu's story. They shouldn't have been given the time they had. They weren't bad people,  but just why though.

Add too many sub-plots on top of that so there wasn't enough time given to Heesu and Seung Won, the BL couple. 

The BL couple weren't a couple til the very, very end, after countless misunderstandings. Heesu liked his friend for a fair amount of the drama and then switched to his neighbor Seung Won, which seemed quick. 

No passion, no emotion (until the very end and it wasn't the love passion kind), no kiss, not even a kiss in the last ep. Not that's required but at least show smth after 10 eps of mostly stoic behavior. Ugh!

It may be the first time in my BL watch history that there were two moms as parents and not once was that given attention, until the very last ep and only a few lines by one mom. Might as well have been nothing. Double ugh!!

I won't rec this drama. 7.5/10

I mean, it's not all bad. It started off pretty good but it was frustrating that nothing was happening for the BL couple but I watched the straight couple advance and have more of the storyline. At least it felt that way. 

Some viewers are going so far as to say the company was deceptive in their promo about it being a BL and that it didn't follow the webtoon at all.

The Bangkok Boy was mostly setup and very violent. It’s about rival gangs/criminal territory. But based on the description of the plot it could be really interesting if a bit intense.
