Oh yes, there are some who I'd really like to see again (!!!).
Japan is puzzling because it some ways it's very accepting (in terms of same-sex marriage, actually the most accepting country in the region - see below) and respectful of privacy but in other ways so conservative, especially the national government. Since its productions seem to be dominated by the big Japanese networks, maybe that plays into the conservative attitudes (?).

Maybe so. I don't know the full picture but that graph is telling. It's interesting. Also, it so happens that I have seen Machida Keita and Honda Kyoya in other series beside their respective BL ones. Every time it was because I wanted to 1. See Alice in Borderland because it seemed like fun and 2. Watch Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko because it looked like a nice GL. But it would be nice to see them in BL again specifically. I wonder if their companies forbid them from being cast/accepting to star in BL again. Maybe to some extent they are quite conservative still?
