Just now finished My Golden Blood. I'm so sad it's over, but HOLY F#@& what a FANTASTIC final episode! Omg my throat hurts from all the all the different emotional types of screaming I did at my screen lol. I completely lost it in the scene where Tong says "I do." and asked Mark to take his blood. I love how they essentially gave us two different endings before and after credits for those of us that like a nice endearing lovey-dovey ending and for the relentlessly spicy-loving stans like @RXinw lol. Everyone gave amazing performances, but Joss & Gawin were just undeniably incredible.

Where do you find out about his concerts? I want to go, but it will take a bit more planning since I'll be coming from the US.
I found out about his show through his social media and fan accounts. It’s part of the Red Giant world tour and will be held in São Paulo, Brazil. I know he’s also performing in Mexico and Japan, but I’m not sure of the exact dates. Plus, his YouTube videos have alerts for upcoming events happening near you.

Eye Contact - 1-3
Who is in charge of this series? I would like to have a serious word with them. This series seems to have been written by a 14 year old on Wattpad, although that is an insult to those young writers considering some of them are producing literature on that app lol.
I understand that it is only 6 episodes long, but why is everything so contrived. Realism seems to be on the back burner.
The saving grace is that Sun and Nu are sweet together. At least there is enough building tension between Chain and Jorn to make their eventual relationship interesting to watch. The high school couple also has some good plot development considering the quality of the overall writing of this series.
This is totally me being petty, but why does the professor teaching English majors, sound like a student just learning to speak the language.
Anyway, I am all caught up with this series.
Loved your comment! The first episode kind of threw me off at first, but honestly, given the limitations of the script and budget, the actors are really giving it their all and tThey’ve managed to keep me interested. I saw NewChun in a BOC special and was super curious to see him in an actual role. I have a feeling this is going to be another one of those shows that I love to "hate". 😇😂
I promise I will be back: This series is definitely not the show of the year, but it’s got me intrigued. I love shows that dive into local culture and lifestyle, explore mystical themes, and especially break away from the usual tropes. The first two episodes made me laugh and just feel lighthearted.
I’m not great at wordplay, but honestly, the second episode could’ve been called How to Fall for a Guy in Two Nosebleeds. 😂 I’m really enjoying the chemistry between the lead actors. But the female characters are way too annoying and over-the-top for my taste.
My Golden Blood: Flaws and all, I absolutely loved it. Bad CGI has never been a dealbreaker for me when there's a beautiful love story unfolding right in front of my eyes. I'm a Cancer, and Cancers live for romance. Guilty as charged. 🫣
Beyond that, the series delivered a really touching message in the end. But what truly won me over were Joss and Gawin’s performances. They radiate a sensuality and authenticity that made Mark and Tong’s relationship feel so real. I love when actors can bring that kind of chemistry to the screen. The flirting, the teasing, the lingering glances, even the NC scenes. Everything felt effortless, not rehearsed. What we saw was Mark and Tong, not just Joss and Gawin playing them. Loved it! 😍

Review:
Firstly, a huge round of applause for Joss and Gawin. They did an amazing job portraying their characters of Mark and Tong respectively. They managed to portray such intimate scenes on screen that the viewers could feel and experience the emotions with them. There are two notable scenes where their performance was palpable: the bathtub scene from episode 11 and the scene in this finale where Tong told Mark to drink his golden blood. It is through their excellent delivery of on screen chemistry and intimacy that made them a successful pairing. Intimacy is more than NC scenes; it refers to how comfortable a couple is with each other, how well they connect emotionally to bring about realism, how their subtle acts and stares come across to fans, and how they interact in a familiar manner to leave an impact on those who are watching them as a couple. To be honest, there were many reservations about them being a good fit together, but it is clear that they delivered as a pairing, putting any reservation about them to bed. The acting overall is good in my opinion.
Secondly, the OST is amazing. I am going to miss hearing it, if I am being honest. Hearing and seeing the intro at the start of each episode sets a romantic atmosphere and conjures up imagery that fits the vampire romance aesthetic.
Thirdly, let me explain why I did not give the full 2 points for writing and instead gave it 1.5. This is based solely on my opinion. Somewhere along the journey of series my anticipation for the release of the episodes began to dwindle. I could not point out a clear reason why initially, until I realised that it was the writing that was responsible for it. In my opinion they played it safe in such a way that the story became predictable and less exciting. Nothing shocked me, I called every development. Miss Thara being evil was no surprise to me, I called it about 3 episodes before it was revealed; Tong being a vampire in the end is a development I predicted from the beginning of the climax in episode 11. The vampire theme is a road less travelled by the industry. I think we have more ghost BLs than vampire. Unlike themes such as office romance, university, entertainment industry and crime/gangster, that have a wealth of series, the vampire theme does not, so there is not a lot to look at as secondary material and inspiration as it relates to BL. Matter of fact, going outside of BL to American series I can only think of three popular ones; Vampire Diaries, True Blood and The Originals. Hence, I understand why the writing team preferred to keep a more confined story with an easy to follow plot because doing too much can lead to disaster with such an unexplored theme in BL; plus this was Gawin and Joss's premier series so playing it safe would have seemed like the best decision. However, while I do understand, I still disagree. For me the vampire theme provided the perfect opportunity to do some major world building and create some complex plot structures, elements and settings that could establish the vampire theme more in the BL industry. With GMMTV being the leading production company and thus having access to a certain budget potential they could have provided an incredible source material for future vampire BLs to take inspiration from. I wish they took more of a risk, and if they flopped I would still complain LOL. Anyway, this is just my one point of contention with the writing.
As it relates to the 1.5 point I gave it production, obviously it is the effects that earned it.
All in all, it was a wonderful series; one that I would readily recommend to someone.
P.S Miss Thara is an icon and she is the moment in this shot:

Sorry to hear this. Hope your right hand is usable soon.
I injured my wrist so in about a week I can do light things. Later for heavy stuff. Kind of a drag.
