My Stubborn - episode 8
I am sick, in pain and have a fever, so my tolerance is mighty low.
I need to rant this out my system
🔞
Sorn's past experience while horrible, holds no water in the present for me. This is my thinking, he did not have any regard for age when he was stuffing Jun's hole. This man has done everything under the sun with Jun and now comes with this shittty reasoning. Your telling me seh him bloodclaat cocky nevah see age when it did a fuck up inna Jun bussy, but now at this moment, after 8 episodes of fucking to the windows and the wall, he now takes issue!!! He has been feeding Jun a fantasy, contradicting his own boundaries via acts of service (sexual and otherwise) and has the audacity to expect the milk without the cow. Dat is johncrow behaviour.
I partially blame Jun as well. Only an idiot feeds a certain behaviour and expects different. I will give it to him that he is young, and so was hoping that despite relevant facts Sorn would turn around and sweep him off his feet, but bredda nuh sanky nuh sing suh! Sorn made it clear Jun was just a fuck-buddy, Jun knew he had developed feelings, he knew Sorn would never reciprocate those feelings, he saw Sorn's contradictory behaviour through possessiveness, but instead of setting boundaries and stepping away, he was busy doing maths with Sorn; subtract the clothes and divide legs, repeatedly!
And where the hell is the secondary BL couple to balance this out. There are 4 episodes left and I am clueless about what their situation is. Their absence has left me to be saturated with bombohole Sorn and eager leg spreader Jun.
No need to read all that.
To say I am annoyed is an understatement. I have hope seeing that the preview shows Jun apparently using his brain for a change and not thinking with his dick.
Eagerly awaiting (good sense) episode 9
p43425:
(re "Ball Boy Tactics") The protagonists are athletes, so sort of. I suspect that there'll be more actual sports (basketball) in future episodes.
My preliminary verdict after today's first two episodes: Not brilliant or distinguished (polite way of saying rather flimsy and cliché), and definitely not in the top tier of KBLs, but it's cute and an easy watch. (I might be slightly biased: I like shy, quiet pureboys, even though this doesn't fit the profile of a former celebrity athlete.)
I finally started this one today, and I agree with your take. It feels like it’s going to be a (mostly) sweet easy watch. Plus, the boys are pretty, so I’m sticking around :)

My Stubborn Ep8
How do I explain that I love Jun so much he makes me emotional 🤣🤣🤣 like why am I almost tearing up (right along with him) everytime he’s in a nasty situation
The way I wanted to fight Sorn when drunk Jun confessed and asked him to say it back, or at the end when he overheard the conversation between Sorn and Thanu.
I’m so seated for next week because it seems like shit is about to hit the fan all around, and Jun is finally getting to say his piece. Let Sorn suffer (evil laugh)
Boys in Love Ep8
Another cute episode. I feel like I’m watching baby birds grow and mature.
The MVP of this ep for me was Mr. Tan because of that little talk he gave Shane was so heartwarming and gave the boy so much confidence 🥹 ALSO that soft eyed pleading he gave Mr. Nat wow 10+ AND him calling Mr.Nat his boyfriend in such a flirty manner. I love him! 🤣
Just ditto to everything you said ❤️

Lately I've been thinking about doing a BL series marathon, but I don't know which ones to watch. Any recommendations?
OMG there are so many good ones you haven’t seen! But do you have any preferences? Parameters? I have quite a few favorites. (I need to make a favorites list.) but here are just a few suggestions
Emotional—unknown (Taiwanese)
Comfort—at 25:00 in Akasaka (Japanese)
Crime—Kiseki: Dear to Me (Taiwanese)
stunning and touching—Secrets Happen on Litchi Island (Chinese)
Thai BLs with good stories and couples you can get invested in: Tale of a Thousand Stars (listed as 1,000 Stars on Viki), Moonlight Chicken, Last Twilight, Never Let Me Go
Melodrama—Secret Relationships (Korean)
Notable Thai shows (finished) from 2025: ThamePo, Your Sky, Fourever You, Top Form
also See Your Love (Taiwanese)
So right now I am loving: Knock Out, The Next Prince, My Stubborn, Reset, and My Sweet Brother-in-Law
i am enjoying: Boys in Love, Sweetheart Service, My Sweetheart Jom, trapped in Osaka, ball boy tactics, Bangkok boy (I haven’t watched this week’s my sweetheart Jom or Bangkok boy yet)
i am having trouble getting into: Pit Babe 2, The Ex-Morning, and Sweet Tooth Good Dentist (still have two more eps of that). Not sure why these aren’t drawing me in.
Others: mission to the moon is a massive disappointment but I keep watching for Pak
i don’t even know what to say about Eye Contact given spoilers I’ve read for ep 5 except wtf?!
and I never expected season of love in shimane to have a good story so I’m not really disappointed, just taking my time to wade through the boring story to get to the NC scenes
i Plan to watch I promise I will come back, Loy kaew first love, and the sparkle in your eyes but I haven’t started those yet
Season of Love in Shimane - episode 4
No NC scene this episode, but there are some plot developments. Turns out there will be some romantic development between Plai and Pan's on screen partner.
Pan overhears the wrong part of P and Plai's conversation leading to a major misunderstanding.
I look forward to the next episode.

Honestly… in my opinion, it promised a lot and didn’t deliver.
There was so much drama for the sake of drama, and the cuteness of the last ep wasn’t enought to save it 🥲
I rated it a 6/10 🙃
dora:
I actually liked You Are Mine even though it was flawed. I thought it was sweet in the end. I still didn’t rate it that high but I’d say it’s worth watching for a fun little escape.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I will see how it goes 🤞
Weekend BL sum-up:
Sweet Tooth Good Dentist eps 10-11
I'm glad it's over. I mean, it's not a bad drama, it's just not very good. It started nicely, then it went downhill, and by the end it got a little better. I think it's a matter of preference, whether you like a certain ship or not, and I'm really not sure if I like MarkOhm. I might be influenced by their roles in this particular drama, but they're not working for me.
Loy Kaew First Love eps 3-4
This drama gives me a headache. I knew it would be like this, since I saw this many characters in the opening. I no longer know, what's going on, where one subplot ends and the other begins. Why does everyone seem to be interested in the least attractive (personality-wise) girl in the village? In that scene at the jetty I wasn't sure if Loy and Kaew were wrestling or snogging. After that they got married. My mind is lagging behind this plot.
Knock Out eps 4-5
This drama is not what I thought it would be after watching the trailer. I thought this drama would be all about muay thai, friends becoming rivals, playing dirty, justice prevailing over power, with a little love story on the side. Meanwhile it's all about debts, loan sharks, gambling and striving for money. What to do? So far Itt seems to be the most intriguing character. He's doing all these odd jobs to make ends meet, working at the massage parlour and doing other shady business. If Mawin booked for extra service, does this mean others can too? What is the status of their relationship? Are they boyfriends, lovers, friends with benefits? Keen and Thun are progressing too, but now they face another obstacle in the form of Yut. And it's one financial crisis after the other. Man, I'm getting tired...
My Sweetheart Jom eps 3-4
Yo has been labelled a troublemaker, but he's actually a person, who cares deeply about people close to him and has a strong moral compass. He can be a brat sometimes, but I find him likeable. I hope he becomes friends with those bullies, so they can change for the better. Jom has a lot on his plate, taking care of Yo, teenage trio, grandma and other villagers is hard enough, now it turns out he also has troubles at home? Give this man a break. I hope we won't be getting a love triangle...
Pit Babe 2 eps 5-6
What I love about this drama is the fact that everyone seems to be watching this for a different couple. Variety is the spice of life, is it not? I'm obviously watching this for KentaKim. For me, they're like a shot of vodka among glasses of juice (if you know what I mean). They are doing things to my heart. It's because of them I have to watch this series locked alone in my room - when I see them on a screen the pillows start flying and the glass is shattering. I feel sorry for my neighbours... I'm writing down the minutes they appear in each episode to later binge their scenes, I'm spamming my bestie with the screenshots - in other words, I'm VERY emotionally invested in this couple. But enough about them. There are other couples to talk about. Chris has some hidden agenda and I don't trust him. There's something he's not telling us and there's still a possibility of him working for Tony. Alan and Jeff give quite good relationship advices. They themselves might need them in the future (Jeff still didn't tell Alan about possibly dying and Alan keeps quiet about his own health issues). North and Sonic... honestly, I don't have the patience with them. Charlie and Babe, they're doing things behind each other's back, they're arguing, they're reconciling. They seriously need to start using their tongues more for talking than other things. I mean, Willy wasn't wrong, when he said they already had problems, even before he came between them.
The Next Prince eps 5-6
The future of Emmaly doesn't look bright. After prince Wasin dies without an heir they'll be fighting for control over his land and when the time comes for the current young generation to take over the throne, would they even have someone to fight in the tournament? I mean, it doesn't look like Khanin or Ramil are going to produce an heir.
I'm confused about Ramil and Paytai's relationship. Paytai is a whipping boy, a servant, a lover... They're realtionship is strange and seems to me to be more about who's got more power instead of who loves more. Some of Paytai's reactions make me wonder whether he has honest feelings for Ramil or he's just doing what he must to survive. I'm curious how it's going to develop.
I really like Ava, she's cool. I also wonder what's Calvin's back story. Why was he sent to Emmaly? Why does he drown his sorrows in alcohol?
Khanin just does whatever he wants. Charan needs to take care of his trauma, because it's dangerous. Enemies won't wait for the rain to stop. They kissed again, this time it's not a game.
My Stubborn eps 7-8
I could be complaining about this series, but I'd still be watching every week.
Don't tell me it's all because of Mali and some past heartbreak. There has to be something else, right? I'm slowly losing my faith in this script. Sorn is so complicated. He acts like a boyfriend towards Jun, but denies any feelings he might have for him, yet longs for Jun to like him more than others. Has his physical relationship with Jun started after his breakup with Mali? Because if it did, he already knew he hates younger partners. I'm thinking too much about this.
About that NC scene in episode 8: First of all, who treats the allergic rash with a shower? Second of all, I've always thought a shower meant using water and not saliva or other bodily fluids. Sorn proved me wrong.
Like @RXinw I'm wondering where the heck is the second BL couple? I'm seeing them less and less. I miss them. I don't even know, what's their deal. Are they a couple? Are they friends? I need some answers and I'm not getting any, if they don't make an appearance.
Boys in Love eps 7-8
This is probably my favourite currently airing BL drama. It's fluffy and sweet, I love all of the characters. It's going to be my another comfort BL drama, I think. Every relationship is healthy, people are actually talking with each other - it's so nice to see. I love Mr Tan. He's so happy he's finally got a boyfriend, that 'boyfriend' became his favourite word. This love does wonders for him. Can't wait for the next episode. I will certainly rewatch this after it finishes airing.
I've also managed to finally finish...
Top Form eps 9-11
This series left me emotionally drained. Top Form is the second BL drama I'm unable to rate, because I have way too many feelings. Wow, that was a ride... I've never thought an NC scene could break me, but I was sobbing while watching episode 9. The way Akin and Jin loved each other, the lengths they would go for each other... I need time to process.
Thanks for the feedback guysRXinw:
(re "You Are Mine") My own opinion is about like Dora's, i.e. it was very flawed but I still mostly enjoyed it as a bit of cute fluff. On the other hand, you're not usually keen on fluff, so I suspect you won't like it. I think you'll be able to decide quickly from the first episode.
@Dora and @ZhouYanRan, thanks for your "currently watching" summaries, which are helpful and interesting to me. I'm also watching (or have watched) most of these - and of those I'm not, the one I'm most keen on is "My Sweet Jom", so I'll probably do a catch-up before Friday's next episode.
In the case of "Sweet Tooth", I agree that, while it wasn't bad per se, it also wasn't good, especially the failed attempts at humour. Was this half-hearted script written to order for product placements? Is Sensodyne the reason for the dentist theme? Since there was no croissant advertiser, I don't quite get the whole croissant obsession - or is that some sort of Thai wordplay that's going "whoosh" over my head?
I'm halfway through "Mission to the Moon", and I'm watching for dreamboat Pak Varayu with otherwise very low expectations, so I can't say I'm disappointed. There was, however, one unexpected thrill in ep. 4 (starting at 5:24): Holy Buddha, that's the same monk as in "Until We Meet Again", which RXinw will confirm is unquestionably the greatest BL of all time. I get chills just thinking about that scene when Dean and Pharm go to the monk, when he cryptically tells them that "forgiveness" is important.
