Quantcast

is anyone watching Moon and Dust , do you like it?

Damn we traveled all the way into 2024

 Hannah:

@Jun moon

I’m forever on mobile so it doesn’t let me quote stuff when it gets a little too long.

However, i’m doing okay. I have been better but I’m doing okay

I actually did finish For Him and dinosaur love and I understand that to both of them are not the best ones but they were something endearing about them. I don’t know what it was, but I think it was so bad that it was good when it came to dinosaur love. For him, I really wanted to figure out how they were gonna do the whole situation with our main character and the fact that his love interest had an ex-boyfriend that looked exactly like him.

I recommend giving up on season two of Gen Y. Save yourself don’t do it.

It’s wild how many of them I finished it still shocks me. I’m glad to see another person. Has also seen just as much.

I’m glad you’re doing okay.

Between the two, I prefer Dinosaur Love, mostly thanks to the character Chalam. He was hilarious! 🤣 Hats off to the actor because I would've lost it laughing in every single scene. No way I could’ve kept a straight face.

As for Gen Y 2... thanks for the warning. That said, I have a bit of a masochistic streak. 🫣  I just can’t quit a series halfway, even if it’s torturing me 😅

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I swapped a few shifts with a coworker and haven’t had time to catch up on my shows. The last episodes I watched were Boys in Love and My Stubborn. Hoping to use the holiday today to finally get back on track with them!

Boys in love ep 8: This is one of the series I'm absolutely loving! I adore every single character. It’s lighthearted and fun, and I especially appreciate how all the characters genuinely know how to communicate and listen to each other.

Kit and Shane have the most mature relationship in the group and have grown significantly on an emotional level. Kit is discovering his strengths, while Shane is learning to navigate his feelings.

Even though Kim and Moon are my favorite duo, they still have room to grow emotionally. Kim needs to realize that trying to please everyone is impossible and unnecessary. He shouldn’t feel pressured to change his personality or interests just to gain Moon’s approval. Moon’s attitude during the debate was selfish and disrespectful, but I loved that they were able to talk things through and resolve the issue.

Tar and Per are fantastic! I love their lively and slightly mischievous energy. Meanwhile, Tan and Nat are my second-favorite duo. It’s adorable seeing Tan’s confidence grow now that he’s dating Nat. Plus, they’re exceptional teachers who genuinely care about their students' well-being.

Of course, nothing is perfect. The downside of the series is Mon’s mother. If she worked for me, she would have been fired on day one. She is not the type of professional I would want in my school if I were its owner.  She is incredibly disrespectful and controlling with the teachers, and manipulative with the students, prioritizing her status above all else. She is the only aspect that feels out of place in a series otherwise filled with great examples.

My stubborn ep 8:

Sorn comes up with every possible excuse to avoid admitting that he's completely in love with Jun. First, he couldn’t allow himself to like Jun because of his past trauma. Now, he claims he can’t because Jun is his best friend’s brother. Yet, despite all his denial, he behaves like an overly jealous and possessive boyfriend at all times.

While some of his fears may be understandable, he needs to be honest with Jun about his true feelings and insecurities. Jun, though younger in age, is far more emotionally mature
than Sorn. I really appreciated the way he stood his ground.

I liked how Champ showed frustration over Thai meddling in Sorn’s love life, especially considering Thai hasn’t even figured out where he stands in his own relationship. It’s a shame that this couple, much like the GL pairing, feels like they were only added to fill out the story. I had hoped that Thai & Champ’s relationship would serve as a counterpoint to Sorn & Jun’s, but instead, it’s just as messy.

I’m not sure if the series is staying faithful to the novel it’s adapted from, but it certainly has all the elements to be much better than it currently is. Still, despite its flaws, it keeps pulling me back week after week.

Good day beautiful people.

I saw this cheeky joke on IG and decided to share:

A guy said back in school when he could not speak English properly, a bully showed him the middle finger. He went to the teacher trying to put his words together and ended up saying, "He fingered me."

I hope this made you laugh as it made me lol

2024 was a very good year for me, and this year is shaping up to rival it.

I think i saw that before omg lmaoo im laughing

After watching the first 4 episodes of Revenged Love, I’m totally hooked. How can I wait 5 whole days for more?!

also, mission to the moon has gotten much better, sweetheart service is still sweet, ball boy tactics is charming, and i really liked trapped in osaka, despite its flaws.

I haven't yet started on "Sweetheart Service" or "Trapped in Osaka" (I will soon!*), but I completely agree with your comments on "Revenged Love" (fantastic!), "Mission to the Moon" (Pak Varayu!) and "Ball Boy Tactics" (nice easy watch - and I'm liking the protagonists more and more!).

*I'm already watching ten currently airing BLs: In addition to these three, also "Next Prince", "Boys In Love", "Knockout", "My Stubborn", "Boys Vibe", "Suntiny" and "I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama S2". Plus maybe I'll start on "Sweetheart Jom" today!

Updates (it is 5 am and I have not gone to bed yet):

I'm taking a little break from posting here but will likely pop in to read the thread occasionally and track a few dramas I'm watching for sanity purposes. The new BL's and the ones coming out may have to wait until August. I'll catch up then.

My father passed away. My first travel stop was to see him the very next day. Instead I'll be going to his burial soon. Then I'll be traveling til the end of July, all family visits, so even though I thought about canceling everything, it's actually better to be with family rn. Otherwise I would be alone. My family convinced me to continue, and even talked me into keeping my wish to go to a SKZ concert next week. My brother is going with me. even though he's not a stay. The concert will be a welcome relief and bright spot in what's been a really difficult year so far.

I'll be back after a bit. Happy BL drama watching.

PS...I do feel blessed that I very recently talked to my dad on the phone and we exchanged loving words.

So sorry for your loss. We’ll be thinking of you during this difficult time. Hope you can still enjoy the concert.
