Reset - episode 6
I was already bursting at the seams to declare a 10 since the last episode and this episode has only compounded my urge. I am really trying not to give a premature rating, but my self restraint is being chipped away in chunks.
I am so satisfied that my halfway mark preferences have been met. It is normally a good indication that a series will do well for me.
The love and affection portrayed by the leads in this episode is so palpable that I feel in love just watching them be in love; if that even makes sense. The acting coupled with the production is truly bringing the story to life on such a deep level that as a viewer I feel trapped in a romantic bubble; they make me crave for a romance of my own.
I can honestly say that after episode 5 and now 6, Reset is now my most treasured currently airing series easily replacing The Next Prince: Uncut.
The script for today's episode in my opinion touched on all the right areas to bring Thada and Armin's romance to full bloom. The diction used was perfect; Thada said all the right things -"You are my greatest gift."
Armin telling Thada that he will give him three wishes to ask for anything he wants had my interests piqued. Thada's use of two of the wishes speaks to how much he loves him:
"No matter what I give you, you must accept it." - He says this after gifting Armin a luxury car for his birthday, and earlier on in the episode he said, "My money is your money." I need a Thada in my life lol. I also love how Thada has begun using the possessive determiner "My" - "Nothing is too much for my Armin.", "Happy Birthday my Armin." There is something about the use of possessive words in romantic relationships that hit deep for me; I find it sexy and very loving. Another thing Thada said that stuck with me is, "Its loving you that's got me truly struck."
His second wish had me in chokehold, not because of how smutty it was, but due to how love filled and sexy I found it - "My second wish is to be inside of you." That NC scene was just perfect to me. The violin music really set the romantic mood along with the low sexy lighting; production really came through.
Armin also said some things that had me feeling very warm inside:
"...but now I think I have reset my life to love you"
"I wish the time I spend with you will always slow down like this forever" - romance at its finest.
I know this post is getting long, but I just want to mention one more thing. The backstory of how both Armin and Thada saved each other from committing suicide at different times in their lives without them knowing each other, is really touching in the sense that they have always been each others saviour.
