I don't have a currently airing BL or any BL as a fav rn. A sad state of affairs atm. 

But since RX and Dora are hyping Reset and I see Revenged Love getting a lot of attention, I'm finding it hard to wait to binge watch both. I need to be distracted with a completed BL for now.

A Sketchy Job! - episode 4 - finale

There is an aspect of the plot I want to rant/talk about in a general sense as it relates to all series and in real life. Before I get to that though let me talk about the series itself.

Yes it is short, but there is some good chemistry between the leads. The story is interesting and easy to follow, and although the transience of the series makes it difficult to see verisimilitude (I am feeling well read today 🤭) of the love between the characters, you still get captured by the story.

That being said, I would like to see this story adapted into a full length (12 episodes at least) series.

Regarding the matter I mentioned in my first paragraph of this post, it always provokes my mind how children from wealthy families rarely give thought to their independence and agency as a person.  At some point they have been confronted with the cold fact that as long as their parents control them economically they will have no choice but to submit to their parents demands. Too often in series we see children almost ready to give up their happiness out of fear of getting cut off. 

I always find myself thinking why do these children know this and do not work on an independence plan just in case. Part of the reason they fear getting cut off is because of the handsome allowances they enjoy, so why is it they do not save some of that money whether in cash or separate private accounts, why is it that they do not invest separately from their family's interests, why is it that they do not take courses (in secret or not) to attain certification to make themselves viable to get jobs. Is it  that some of these children are so spoiled and comfortable in their parents wealth that they are blind to their own golden cages? I think this also applies to children who have wonderful parents. I have seen in real life where someone has rich and caring parents who encourage them to get educated in whatever, but because they feel comfortable in their parents money they waste opportunities. I think independence is something to be treasured and sought after because you never know what can happen. I must admit I may feel this way because I have a rebellious spirit 🤣 my great-grandmother taught me well 🩵 If she was alive she would have loved the saying, "F**k around and find out." LOL SCREAMING!

In Jamaican culture there is a thing called "bex money" (translation - vex money). Basically you must always have extra money on you when going out with anyone just in case you guys get into any disagreement. That way you can afford to get home on your own without relying on that person/persons.

Anyway it is for these sentiments that I do love Revenged Love because the characters are very crafty and determined to make it financially; from the scheming Suo Wei to Chi Cheng starting his own company with Suo Wei to not depend on his father. I also love Reset for this reason; Thada's father made sure to include a provision in his will that demanded Thada become qualified for the job through hard work and studies before taking over the company. It shaped him into who he is as a person.

Anyway, I will leave it here. I have been posting some very long posts these days. I apologise, I needed to rant a bit about this reoccurring situation in series and real life.

late asf to the party but i just finished Revenged Love ep 1 :))

i'm definitely already seeing where all the hype is coming from this show seems so promising! a lot of exposition in the first ep but i wasn't bored like i usually am with that sort of stuff. the characters are all interesting and entertaining and i'm excited to see how everyone's story continues to unfold. both couples look very promising i can already see the chemistry brewing 😉

i also do wanna add that as a snake owner myself he is NOT practicing proper husbandry for those snakes. their enclosures are so small and barren!! and that was not a decent meal size for that python!! oh and making them fight to the death... not great pet care. bad rep for snake owners lol. most of us are not weird like that. although i did frequently walk around my college campus with mine on my shoulders so maybe the stereotypes are a little true 🥲😅

i'm not sure if this has been talked about in here already (i've been pretty absent lately, i miss you guys!!) but it seems like all the dialogue is done with voice overs??  like with different voice actors for each character and everything. does anyone know why this is?? 

I love Reset. Pond’s smile is gonna be the death of me. 

now that pit babe s2 is ending soon, what are your thoughts on it?

I might have an unpopular opinion, but I think it would have been better to stop at s1. 

s2 isnt giving anything new. its basically s1 all over again. 

tbh I think s2 is a waste of time, no hate btw. I just think the story isnt giving much.

and I`m still cringing at the mama/papa talk.
