Kill To Love is only 12 eps and only abt 30 mins long. For an historical that's very short, but average for a BL. It's one of the few historicals to actually be a BL with very romantic lovey dovey scenes and not a bromance. 

How is the plot? Interesting?

Hi! 2025 is seriously delivering when it comes to good series. Right now I’m really into Shine, Kill to Love, Memoir of Rati, Khemjira, and My Magic Prophecy. What about you?

I'm currently watching The Promise Of The Soul, ABO Desire, Secret Lovers, Doctor's Mine and The Nameless Season (mini). I think I like The Promise Of The Soul the best but most of them started well and now I'm not so sure.

Day 27: Favorite Taiwanese BL

RE: Kill To Love

It's the typical fight for power plot within the family and the struggle to protect their own dominion over the land kind of thing. It's not boring but not unique either. It being a BL in a historical setting is what stands out, cuz it's not hidden or left to the imagination of the viewer.

IMO, if this was a straight historical it would be average for me, unless the main leads had a really great connection & chemistry.

I'm back! Got home yesterday afternoon and went straight to watch 'My Magic Prophecy' EP 6, which was fantastic. They really took "The Lovers" to heart. I've always liked JimmySea (my second BL was ViceVersa), but MMP hits different. The chemistry is just chemistrying 😂

I still haven't watched 'Khemjira', but the plan is to watch it tonight~

On another note, and not exactly BL related. Have you guys watched the spot for PondPhuwin's fancon in November!!! I bet this concert is going to be so cool ;;

For the longest time my favorite Taiwanese BL was Plus & Minus (which I still love) but See Your Love came around at the end of last year, and completely stole the spot.  

That reminds me that i need to do a re-watch

Thanks for the reminder. I'd forgotten how much I loved "See Your Love". Definitely one to re-watch.

I'll answer in bulk since I don't think i've even seen 25 BLs.

1. Describe a favourite series

A doctor tries to save a patient brought to the emergency but when he dies, the day restarts. He realises that he needs to save this person and tries to prevent him from getting into an accident.

7. Favourite first kiss scene of all time.

The Time Of Fever - when they are in the nurse's room.

8. Aesthetically pleasing NC scene

The Next Prince - I didn't watch the drama but someone had uploaded their scenes on YouTube and for a change they were not humping each other. It was shot really well.

10. Most evil character

ABO Desire - Hua Yong - He's the main lead but he is manipulative and sexually assaults the the man he loves just because he wants to dominate him. He has no remorse for how his partner felt after that.

14 Advice you would give to a specific character

ABO Desire - Gao Tu - love yourself first

16 Favourite food

Any second meaning to this?

17. Favourite OST of all time

Bad Guy - Taboo (the drama is a mini and has really good OST. I spent hours trying to write down the lyrics to the song just by listening to it and a friend used AI to fill in the gaps. The other songs are really good too.)

22. Best BL Production

I don't know about Best but most fun based on the BTS seems to be Revenged Love.

The Promise Of The Soul - it's cute and I'm rooting for the leads but the writers are keeping me guessing.
