Day 30 - Something Random About Yourself

Someone pointed this out to me recently. I have my own Google search. This took me by surprise because my name is very unique; I have yet to find someone else with my first name mostly because my mother made it up. Hence, signing into platforms is never a hassle for me when choosing a username because my name is never taken. Therefore when my name is Googled only I come up, and I must say I felt very flattered seeing all my achievements - public engagements, news clippings, awards, TV appearances, etc.

I am not famous by any means, but I have a little recognition in certain spaces; let me leave it at that.

You should feel proud. I know you’ve worked hard to achieve this.

 PerayaForever:
I have Tourette Syndrome and ADHD.

Thanks for sharing. I really admire your openness.

 Indie Art Girl:
Here's a few of my cards

They’re truly beautiful! I really admire people with artistic talent.

 Italophilia:
They made this music video; my older kid is singing.

Such a beautiful moment! Thanks for letting us be part of it. Your oldest has an amazing voice—loved the song!

 dora:
very sweet. loved it.

I’m right there with you

 ColourMePurple:
I would probably put it under Underrated Drama of 2025.

Couldn’t agree more

 ANNIE NU:

Hi guys I'm back here after monthssss🥹

Welcome back!

 p43425:

On my WeTV, I see 50 episodes.

Supposed to be 50 episodes, but only 30 are showing...

 dora:
I don’t know the difference between the versions aired on WeTV vs Viki but I watched on Viki.

I'll watch it on viki then since it seems to be incomplete on WeTv.

Day 30: Something random about myself:

1. If it were healthy, I’d totally flip day and night.I love the peace and quiet. I feel way more energized at night.

2. I love singing! Not that I’m any good at it, but I’m always humming something.

@RXinw Thank you for the challenge! I honestly had such a great time being part of it, and it was so cool getting to know a little more about everyone.

The promise of the soul:  Honestly, my perspective on this show is a little different because a lot of what happens ties into my own beliefs. I truly believe that true love transcends any barriers, be it time, gender, or age. I was both surprised and a bit shocked by the backlash about an “older man” dating a younger man. These were not comments I expected to hear in the 21st century.  If it’s fine for an older guy to date a younger woman, why not an older guy with a younger guy? Or an older woman with a younger man? Or a younger woman with an older guy? As long as both partners are consenting adults, what’s the problem? When Xia Cha, a 69-year-old man, wakes up in his 20-year-old grandson’s body, both he and Xia Ze Fang get a shot to overcome past traumas. Xia Cha has to face the promises he never fulfilled, and Xia Ze Fang has to learn what it really means to love. The script isn’t flawless, but the series is emotionally rich. The slower pace works perfectly to show that this is more about a spiritual bond across lifetimes than a whirlwind romance. Xia Ze Fang’s redemption scenes with Xia Cha and Guan Ri Qing were truly beautiful. Extremely handsomes, Martin Wong and Kenji Fan Shine, especially Martin Wong, who brings two layered characters to life. Haru and Hana were a delightful surprise: the first GL couple with real chemistry and and well-written characters, not just filler. If they had their own spin-off, I would definitely watch it. Even the cicadas aren’t just background noise in a Taiwanese summer. They symbolize transformation, the link between eras, and how fleeting life can be. No matter how long a soul prepares underground, the moment above ground deserves to be lived to its fullest. This is definitely a show to watch with both your heart and your mind wide open.

Memoir of Rati had such a lovely and sweet final episode. Inn & Great really brought something very special to this series. They were wonderful together. I'm really going to miss that series a lot. I adored Aou & Boom as the side pair also.

The Promise of the Soul also had a very sweet final episode. It was a charming little series.

How strange. All 50 episodes definitely work on WeTV in my country, but I tested with VPN, and you're right, WeTV has only released through ep. 30 in yours, presumably a mistake. You could send a message to WeTV using the "Feedback" feature, but my experience is that they're unresponsive.

So I guess your choice is Viki or VPN. (I use 2X speed-watch a lot, which doesn't exist on Viki, grrr. WeTV even has speed-watch up to 3X.)

 Ju Moon:
@RXinw Thank you for the challenge!

Ditto. 30 days went by too quickly!

I have been wanting to comment on memoir of rati but haven’t been sure what I want to say. I do agree, though, that Great & Inn were wonderful and really added the emotional depth the series needed. AouBoom were also great as both serious characters facing real issues and as comic relief.

i think this show was really well-cast and I was impressed with the performances. They dealt with some serious issues but with depth and feeling but also an unwavering optimism (great’s character, at least) and determination that helped counteract the challenges they faced.

the ending was fine but i somehow wanted more. Maybe just the heartfelt love confession closer to the end. Plus I wouldnt have minded more detailed NC scenes, but I always think that. Lol

overall I really liked memoir of rati. It was complex and upsetting at times but also beautiful. I was really impressed with GreatInn overall, but there were a lot of memorable characters and all the cast was good. I would definitely recommend it.

The Promise of the Soul

i loved this show a lot, i hope to see the mls acting again in more bls
